Dear teachers, I am very honored to be here to communicate with you. The title of my talk today is "How to Build an Effective Classroom". In the context of the new curriculum reform, in today's full implementation of quality education, how to solve the problem of time-consuming and inefficient classroom teaching and how to create an efficient classroom is very important. So, what is an effective classroom? My understanding is that teachers maximize and optimize teaching objectives in 45 minutes, that is, teachers complete teaching tasks efficiently and students master knowledge efficiently in a classroom. Here I would like to talk about a few superficial experiences. I think we should start from the following three aspects (careful lesson preparation, effective teaching, feedback and reflection after class)
1. Prepare carefully
1。 Prepare teaching materials. Careful lesson preparation is an important prerequisite and basic guarantee for creating an effective English classroom. Teaching materials are the foundation of teaching. Teachers must study the textbooks in depth, be familiar with the content of the textbooks, grasp the teaching purpose, identify the key points and difficulties of the textbooks, grasp the spiritual essence, organizational structure and vertical and horizontal connections of the textbooks as a whole, and understand the division of each volume and each unit and their internal connections, so that they can be handy in the classroom.
2。 Prepare students. While we prepare the teaching materials, we must also prepare the students, because the students are the main body of learning, and only when the main body plays a role can the final classroom efficiency be achieved. This requires us to prepare lessons based on the characteristics of the students in the class. Due to the differences in age, personal experience, knowledge structure, etc., students' learning abilities are also different. Therefore, teachers should pay attention to comprehensiveness when preparing lessons, including comprehensiveness in content and comprehensive care for students at different levels. Teachers also need to read and refer to a large number of teaching materials, learn from the strengths of hundreds of schools, and "add oil and vinegar" to the teaching materials, so that the boring texts and grammar become vivid, and the teaching content becomes rich, so that students can understand and accept it more easily. Of course, we also need to adopt flexible and diverse teaching methods according to the different student bases, so that each student can gain something.
"All things are foreseen, and those who are not prepared are wasted." It can be said that whether or not the efficiency of the English classroom can be improved depends to a large extent on the teacher's lesson preparation and lesson plan design. The more serious the lesson preparation, the better the teacher's leading role and the student's main role will be played, and the higher the efficiency of the class.
2. Effective teaching
The classroom is the main channel for students to learn knowledge. The key to improving classroom efficiency is to seize the class. Teachers must work hard in the following four areas when teaching:
1. Stimulate interest in learning English. Because interest is the best teacher. Therefore, in the teaching process, we should stimulate students' interest in learning, mobilize students' enthusiasm, and increase the interest of teaching. On the premise of acknowledging and respecting individual differences in learning, teachers should adopt a variety of teaching methods and design different activities to truly teach students according to their aptitude to meet their individual differences. In addition, teachers can use multimedia to play audio and video clips from courseware and texts to stimulate students' curiosity in learning.
2. Create a harmonious and relaxed atmosphere. The ancients said: "Kiss his teacher, believe in his way". A lively English lesson is enjoyable for students, but on the contrary, it is a mental torture.
A harmonious and pleasant classroom atmosphere between teachers and students is conducive to students' physical and mental health and enhances students' cognitive ability. Teachers usually pay attention to cultivating affinity, a teacher with affinity will be welcomed by students, and naturally his lessons will be liked by students. Teachers can only improve classroom efficiency better and faster by creating more harmonious and enjoyable teaching situations for students in the classroom.
3. Cultivate thinking and analytical skills. "Give a man a fish, benefit him for a while, give a man a fish, benefit his life". In modern education, we don't just teach students knowledge, but also the ability to analyze and solve problems. Therefore, the concept of teachers needs to be changed, from "teaching" to "mentoring" in the past, so I think that for today's students, the responsibility of teachers is not to teach, but to teach students to learn, especially to learn to think and analyze. Inspiring students' thinking is the most important basic skill of teachers, in the classroom, teachers should leave students time and space to think, for students who have difficulties in the process of thinking, teachers should give timely allocation, and must not deprive students of the opportunity to explore, think and discover, so as to "stifle" students' desire for innovation. Students should be involved as well, rather than teachers doing it alone and filling the classroom with students.
4. Create a flexible teaching. "There is no definite law to teach, and the most important thing is to obtain the law." Teaching is an art. Teachers should adopt different teaching methods according to different types of lessons, taking into account both overall needs and individual differences. Teachers should make full use of a variety of intuitive teaching aids and multimedia equipment, and use a variety of teaching methods such as situational teaching method and direct teaching method to create vivid, novel and interesting teaching situations, so that students can experience the original English environment and appreciate British and American culture through pictures and videos. In addition, various activities such as "group competitions", "dialogue performances", "picture guessing" and "games" can be organized to enrich the class, so that each lesson has a fresh feeling and students can learn easily and happily.
3. Feedback and reflection after class
The famous educator Gagne believes that "every action of learning, if it is to be completed, needs feedback". Assignments are not only an extension of classroom teaching, but also a reinforcement and feedback for students' classroom learning. After the teacher usually finishes the class, he or she should assign some homework to the students to test the teaching effect. Assignments should be appropriate and of moderate difficulty, and students should be urged to complete them independently. Teachers should sort out the outstanding problems with tendencies in students' knowledge, ability, habits, and ways of thinking, and then find out their own teaching deficiencies, adjust their teaching ideas, and improve their teaching methods. At the same time, the review results will be quickly fed back to the students, and the students will be tutored and supervised in a targeted manner. In addition to the traditional text form, the assignment should also focus on innovation, such as the assignment of practical assignments related to English listening and speaking. The key is to write down these teaching insights in a timely manner and write them into reflections, listen to the opinions of students and peers with an open mind, and constantly improve their own teaching to improve classroom efficiency. The Hui language represents not only a high degree of recognition of a subject, but also a high degree of condensation of a school culture, which is closely related to every principal. The theme of this event is the cultural construction of the Hui language and the curriculum leadership of the principal. I think the two are both independent and interconnected. The cultural construction of "Hui language" is inseparable from the guidance and promotion of the principal, and the curriculum leadership of the principal also needs to be supported by new topics such as "Hui language".
So, how to achieve the organic integration of the two, it is necessary for the principals here to clarify their role positioning, not only to play a good administrative role to actively influence the curriculum, but also to play a good role as an expert to guide the running of the school, so as to promote the scientific development and connotation of the school.
Second, it is necessary to use the forum to further clarify the clear direction of running the school. The famous Soviet educator Sukhomlinsky famously said: "To lead a school, first of all, is the ideological leadership of education, and then the leadership of the administration." "As a principal, what kind of education outlook, development outlook, teacher outlook, teaching outlook, evaluation outlook, student outlook, quality outlook, etc., will directly and indirectly affect your school-running behavior, and thus directly or indirectly affect the school's quality and characteristics. This forum is not only a wonderful display of the construction of Hui language and campus culture, but also an in-depth exchange and integration of school-running concepts and characteristics at the provincial level. Third, it is necessary to further build a scientific management system with the help of the forum. The times are developing, education is also advancing with the times, and how to redefine the role of the principal as a manager, give it a new connotation, and even realize the transformation of the role is worthy of our deep consideration. Fourth, it is necessary to use the forum to further increase the stamina for sustainable development. At present, the education departments in all regions are actively planning the "13th Five-Year Plan" for education on the basis of doing a solid job in the beginning of the "13th Five-Year Plan", I think, all schools should also put the next five years of planning on the agenda. Our hospital was founded in 1939 and has a history of 77 years. After this incident, I understand that service is not only hardware and software services, when our sweat is dry, and we still can't satisfy the guests, we have to use a little wisdom and adapt to the situation. Let the guests be satisfied, happy, and we will also receive something from it, which is our purpose. Some colleagues may say that I lied to the guests, and I am obviously from Sichuan, but I said to the guests that I am from Hunan. Yes, I lied and deceived the guests. But my goal has been achieved, and it is also a reasonable and legal means, white lies, beautiful deceptions, God will understand. Of course, professional skills are the most important. However, it is not a simple matter to do all the core content of our service culture, sincerity, professionalism and warmth are the best interpretation of service requirements. We are like a gun, the gun must have endless bullets, only in this way can we have enough ability to reduce the pressure of the guests, like the reduction of emissions, to create happiness for the guests like to create profits for the company.
