He said that Songkran will welcome a large number of Thai-foreign tourists because it coincides with the Golden Week holiday in China, which is also a time for European tourists to go to warm places to escape the cold.
In this regard, 1,038,767 tourists are expected to welcome from April 12-16, including 937,301 Thai tourists and 101,466 Chinese tourists, an increase of 40% year-on-year, while the national park entrance fee revenue is expected to reach 53.97 million baht, and the net consumption of tourists from the country's major national parks will reach 2,564.99 million baht.
In addition, he further said that April 14 is Thailand's Family Day, and all national parks under the National Parks Department will be open for free, and local visitors to Thailand will not have to pay anything.
