Jiaofeng Village, located in the depths of Danan Mountain, is a quaint, beautiful and welcoming ethnic minority village, where 30 She families have lived for more than 360 years, and there are only about 170 people in the village. The villagers here live halfway up the mountain, and the land they cultivate is rice paddies carved out of the mountains.
More than 100 acres of terraced rice fields are arranged along the steep slopes of the mountain, like steps built for giants to ascend to the sky. The cascading terraces are divided into hundreds of small fields, and because each field is very small, it is called "pocket terraces", and it is also called "the most beautiful terraced rice fields in Huizhou" by netizens. Especially in the golden autumn harvest season, the golden terraces attract many photography enthusiasts and travelers. There are also stone houses with She characteristics and sheep intestine paths made of stones, which have a unique style of primitive life.
