LONDON, April 13, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- The Formula E World Championship and the FIA have unveiled the full roster of 11 rookie drivers who will make their debut in the official rookie practice session for Season 10. The rookie practice session took place at the Misano World Circuit in Santa Monica-Chela District, Rimini, Italy, during rounds 6 and 7 of the Formula E World Championship.
2024 Formula E Misano rookie test line-up
The Beginner Practice Session is designed for drivers who have no experience in Formula E racing, but hold at least an international B-level license. The aim of this project is to promote and discover young talents in the top electric racing series, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills in driving GEN3 cars. GEN3 Racing is the fastest, lightest, most powerful and most efficient electric racing car ever built.
The last official rookie practice session of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship was the free practice sessions in Rome for rounds 13 and 14 of Season 9. It is worth mentioning that the rookie of that year, Jehan Daruvala, has been promoted to Maserati Racing
Ahead of Formula E Misano on Saturday 13 April and Sunday 14 April, rookies representing all 11 teams practiced free practice on Friday from 20:30-21:00 CST.

2024 Formula E Misano Station
For the first time in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the drivers will face a 3.382-kilometre clockwise circuit with a total of 14 corners, including the infield at Turns 1-4 before returning to the Grand Prix circuit towards the hairpin corners 5 and 7. This was followed by a high-speed straight into a sharp left turn at Turns 8 and 9, followed by a quick sprint back to the straight at Turn 14 in a combined section at the back of the track.

Building on the Misano Rookie Free Practice, there will also be a highly anticipated practice day for newbies at Formula E Berlin in May. The official rookie test for Season 10 will take place on Monday, May 13, after the Berlin double weekend in rounds 9 and 10 of the season. This is a pre-race fixture where all teams will field at least one young driver in this test.

Sheldon • Van der Lind, Jaguar Racing: 2022 DTM Grand Prix winner Sheldon van der Linde will return to the Formula E paddock in preparation for yesterday's free practice test. He took part in Jaguar Racing's official rookie test Berlin in April last year and quickly settled into Formula E. Van der Linde, a former DTM champion and sports car driver, had a pretty impressive result in the morning test: in similar dry conditions, he was only half a second behind the fastest time at the SABIC Berlin Formula E Grand Prix at the weekend.
