Wan Aihua, formerly known as Liu Chunlian, was born on January 11, 1930 in a small village called Leekgou, Inner Mongolia. The girl's fate was very bitter, her family was poor, her father was still an addict, and she was sold to Yangquan Village, Yuxian County, Shanxi Province as a child daughter-in-law at a young age.
In 1938, the small village was invaded by the Japanese army, and then a puppet county government was established to recruit a group of traitors and lackeys through coercion. Later, the Eighth Route Army quietly established anti-Japanese base areas, and began to set up underground contact points in villages and counties to develop members.
Wan Huahua did not hesitate to join the children's group in Yangquan Village, and was elected as the head of the group because of her outstanding ability, becoming the key training object of the organization. Her superiors told her that all this was secret work and that traitors and devils could not be allowed to know.
As time passed, she grew up and became a member of the village branch, leading the villagers in their struggle against the Japanese while working hard to learn cultural knowledge and receive the baptism of new ideas.
The man who bought Wanai Hua as a child daughter-in-law was named Li Wuxiao, and the two had no emotional foundation at all, so they filed for divorce from their husband and married Li Jigui, a village cadre who was 29 years older than him.

At that time, Japan blocked the sea and air passages, threatening to destroy China within three months, during which every war was filled by the Chinese people's lives, even then it was difficult to win a victory, but fortunately, the tenacity of the Chinese people in exchange for a turnaround.
The victories of the Battle of the Hundred Regiments and the Battle of Taierzhuang made the War of Resistance against Japan enter a stalemate stage, and the frenzied Japanese army fought back more fiercely in order to annex China as soon as possible, and even aimed its bayonets at the innocent people.
In the spring of 1942, a group of Japanese soldiers came to Yangquan Village again, this time they implemented the three-light policy: all Chinese must be killed, everything Chinese must be robbed, and all Chinese houses must be burned down......
The villagers who heard the news ran to the nearby mountains to take refuge, and Wan Aihua was captured by the Japanese army because she had to serve her father-in-law, who was sick in bed, and delayed her escape.
She and four other young girls from the village were taken to a small mountain village, not far from Yangquan Village, which was in a good location, with a backdrop to the mountains that was easy to defend and difficult to attack.
The Japanese army drove away the residents who lived in the cave on the top of the mountain and used it as a place to hold Wan Aihua and others, and the five girls were violated by the brutal Japanese soldiers that night. In order to ask for credit from the Japanese army, a traitor also took the initiative to inform, and the identity of Wan Aihua's party members was exposed.
The Japanese wanted to ask for some useful information from her mouth and torture her in various ways, but Wan Aihua gritted her teeth and didn't reveal a word. She was held for almost a month, tortured but never gave up hope of escape.
Late one night, Wan Aihua quietly got out of the back door of the cave and fled back to Yangquan Village. Finally caught the "trophies" and escaped from under their noses, the Japanese devils were angry and angry, and the soldiers surrounded the small village in two ways.
Wan Aihua, who was washing clothes by the pond, was arrested again, this time ravaged by the Japanese for 29 days, and only looked for an opportunity to escape again in late September. Three months later, the Japanese army surrounded Yangquan Village again, and the first thing they looked for was Wan Aihua.

In the cold winter, the north wind howled, and the Japanese ordered Wan Aihua to be stripped of her clothes and tied to a tiger chair for torture. At the same time, he also took two flat poles and pressed his shoulders down, causing Wan Aihua's cervical vertebrae to shrink into his chest.
After several days of torture, Wan Aihua only had her last breath, and even though the Japanese army tried to wake up with cold and biting water many times, there was no response, and then she was thrown to a nearby river to fend for herself.
Fortunately, an old man passing by saw her who was almost eaten by wild dogs, and everyone thought that Wan Aihua had little hope of surviving, and a miracle happened at this time, and she survived with a strong will to survive with only one breath.
At that time, Wan Aihua's body was fractured in many places, her waist fell into the pelvis, and she had a serious gynecological disease, and her skull was dented by the Japanese, and she couldn't grow hair at all, and the original 1.63 meter beautiful girl was tortured with a height of only 1.45 meters.
Due to her serious injuries, she lay in bed for three years before she could barely take care of herself, and by this time the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression had ended. In 1950, Wan Aihua took her adopted daughter from Yuxian County to Yangqu, and later to the provincial capital Taiyuan.
The two rented a cottage and their lives were settled, but at that time, Wan Aihua was holding her breath in her heart, and told her adopted daughter that "my mother is not a lazy person, she is an anti-Japanese fighter."
In the more than 40 years since then, Wan Aihua has been running around while pulling her daughter by asking for food, trying to restore her party membership, and finally got her wish in 1994, and she can get a subsidy of 50 yuan per month.
Someone once told her that the money was too little, but Wan Aihua, who had become an old lady, didn't care, what she wanted was not the money, but she wanted to give an account to herself.
In the 90s, there was a teacher named Zhang Shuangbing in Yuxian County, Shanxi, who accidentally learned from the local old man about the harm caused to women during the Japanese invasion of China, so he began to look for the victims of the year and collect evidence of the Japanese crimes.
The past experience was so painful and fearful that many female victims would hardly show their faces.
After many inquiries, Zhang Shuangbing found Wan Aihua, who was over sixty years old in Taiyuan, and learned the origin of the other party, and the grievances accumulated by the old man for more than half a century broke out, and said angrily: I will never forget what the other party has done to me in my life, and I must accuse them.
More than 50 years later, the devastated old woman still remembers the events of that year clearly, and with her courageous voice, 16 victims have come forward to denounce Japan in Yangquan alone.
The outcome of the eight-year lawsuit was disappointing, and the victim did not wait for an apology until his death

After more than half a century of silence, the victims, represented by Wan Aihua, came forward to accuse the Japanese government, but the process was very difficult. In 1998, she and Zhao Runmei and 10 other plaintiffs formally filed a lawsuit, which was destined to be a lawsuit with extremely unequal strength.
It is not fair at all for the victim to go to Japan to sue the Japanese government, and in the face of ironclad evidence, the Japanese government has denied all of it.
As the "first person in the civil investigation of Chinese comfort women", Zhang Shuangbing and these old people have traveled back and forth to Japan many times, and the elderly Wan Aihua was the most important witness, and even lifted his clothes in public in the Tokyo courtroom, revealing the scars on his body.
Even so, the Japanese government has been clever in its rhetoric, with some far-right forces openly smearing their victims and accusing them of fabricating lies. In March 2005, the Tokyo High Court issued a second-instance judgment rejecting the lawsuit filed by Wan Aihua and others.
Unconvinced, the victims appealed to the Supreme Court of Japan, and in December of the same year, the Supreme Court of Japan upheld the original verdict, which lasted eight years and ended in three lawsuits.
Wan Da Niang, who was suffering from illness, always breathed a sigh of relief in her heart, she once said: I can't die yet, I want to wait for the day when the Japanese government apologizes.
Unfortunately, the long-term lawsuit and the torture of illness made the old man aging rapidly, and he was admitted to Taiyuan Hospital in January 2012, and suffered a stroke due to cerebral infarction in April, resulting in hemiplegia.
After being diagnosed by the doctor, she also suffers from some underlying diseases such as chronic cholecystitis, and Wan Da Niang has a debt of more than 10,000 yuan to treat this disease, and her adopted daughter Li Ladi also suffers from severe coronary heart disease and is not able to take care of her mother at all.
After the media reported the situation, a number of public welfare organizations and people reached out to help Wan Da Niang and raised tens of thousands of yuan, and enthusiastic netizens even launched a fundraising campaign to help Wan Da Niang better treatment.
On July 20, 2013, the seriously ill old man Wan Aihua was lying on the bed, facing the reporters and people who cared about her, she said this sentence: They are going to drag us down, and when we are all dead, they will not admit it.
On September 3, 2013, the old man Wan Aihua, who was still hospitalized, suddenly said that he wanted to go home to see, and died in the early morning of the next day at the age of 84 after being taken home by relatives and friends.
According to local customs, the body was returned to Yangquan Village for burial. This old man did not wait for an apology from the Japanese until the last moment of his life, which is really painful.
Now, 11 years have passed since the death of the old man Wan Aihua, and only 10 survivors of the comfort women are registered, and only one old man appeared in the movie "Twenty-Two".
