In the men's 89kg and women's 71kg competitions, the Chinese players missed out on the gold medal. Among them, Li Dayin, who holds the men's 89kg snatch and the world record in the overall score, made a mistake in the competition and won two bronze medals in this class. Liao Guifang, who won the World Championships last year, won two silvers and one bronze in the women's 71kg competition.

Liu Huanhua, a teenager born in 2001, made history in Chinese men's weightlifting. In the men's 102kg final, he reversed himself with only 5th place in the snatch, and with a clean and jerk of 232kg and a total of 413kg, he set two world records in the clean and jerk and the total score, and won two gold medals. This is also the first time that a Chinese men's weightlifting has held a world record in this category.

In the women's 81 kg class, Wang Zhouyu won three silver medals. In the women's 81kg and above category, Tokyo Olympic champion Li Wenwen, who returned from injury, showed strong dominance, sweeping three gold medals in the snatch, clean and jerk and overall in the category. After Li Wenwen finished the competition, the Chinese weightlifting team also ended this World Cup journey.

Judging from the performance of the World Cup, the Chinese weightlifting team maintained an overwhelming advantage in the women's 49 kg, women's 59 kg and women's 81 kg and above classes, while the men's 61 kg class was relatively stable, and Liu Huanhua's performance in the men's 102 kg class was also gratifying.

The tournament is also a qualifying event for the Paris Olympics. After the competition, Li Fabin (men's 61kg), Liu Huanhua (men's 102kg), Hou Zhihui (women's 49kg), Luo Shifang (women's 59kg) and Li Wenwen (women's over 81kg) ranked first in the world ranking of Olympic qualification in each class. Shi Zhiyong is ranked second in the world in the men's 73kg Olympic qualification rankings.

Unlike the Tokyo Olympics, the weightlifting classes at the Paris Olympics have been reduced from 14 to 10, and each NOC can only send a maximum of six people to compete. In the end, it is worth looking forward to what kind of Olympic lineup the Chinese weightlifting team will send.
