The "Super Engineering Research" project was established in 2019. Over the past five years, 751 experts and scholars, including 49 academicians, have participated in the research work, covering ancient and modern China and foreign countries, with a time span of more than 12,000 years.
It is understood that the project screened out 643 ancient and modern Chinese and foreign super projects into the ranking, including 110 ancient Chinese super projects, 299 modern Chinese super projects, 100 ancient super projects in the world, 134 modern super projects in the world, in addition to the currently published "Introduction to Super Projects", 29 books will be published one after another, including the ecological restoration project in Xuzhou mining area, including the modern super projects to publicize.

The ecological restoration project of Xuzhou mining area is the ecological restoration project of the super-large coal mining subsidence land with the largest single investment, the most complex engineering technology and the best comprehensive ecological and environmental benefits in Jiangsu Province since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The project takes the construction of the "three wetlands" of Pan'an Lake, Jiuli Lake and Anguo Lake as landmark achievements, and creatively explores and implements a new governance model of "basic farmland consolidation, reclamation of coal mining subsidence area, ecological environment restoration, and wetland tourism".
Xuzhou Mining Group has cooperated to help Xuzhou realize the ecological butterfly change from "one city of coal ash and half urban soil" to "one city of green mountains and half a city of lakes", which is a milestone in the history of the management of coal mining subsidence areas in mainland China and has become a national model for the restoration and reengineering of the ecological environment of resource-exhausted cities.

With a history of 142 years of coal mining, Xuzhou Mining Group has expanded the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains and the land of Sanqin with ecological priority and green development, and promoted the integration of industrial development and environmental governance.
Tianshan Mining Company, a subsidiary of Xuzhou Mining Group, adheres to the concept of "no coal is used for coal production, and no coal is used for coal mining", renovates the wasteland in the mining area, builds an ecological park, uses the treated mine water for irrigation, and plants more than 20 thousand seedlings, which is known as the "garden-style mine on the Gobi Desert".
Combined with the local climatic characteristics and topographic reality, the water resource utilization experiment of high-salt mine was carried out in the No. 5 mine of Dananhu in Hami, relying on technical measures such as water and salt control + precise drip irrigation + microbial package to promote root growth, inhibit salt damage, and explore a feasible path for desert afforestation in high-salinity areas, which greatly reduced the probability of sand and dust flying, and watered one oasis after another on the Gobi Desert.
The successful practice of the ecological restoration project in Xuzhou mining area provides an important reference system for the green and sustainable development of the traditional mining industry, explores an important direction for the construction of ecological civilization in mineral resource-based cities, and is of great significance to the ecological environment, people's happiness, economic development and social stability of the mainland.
