In his speech, Wu Hailong pointed out that the current relations between China and Japan are not satisfactory, and there are many problems between the two sides, such as the lack of political mutual trust, the continuous decline in public favorability, and the interference of third parties in bilateral relations. Therefore, starting with people-to-people exchanges, it is necessary to enhance exchanges and mutual trust between China and Japan in more fields. We look forward to friendly coexistence between China and Japan, and mutual respect and mutual achievement between the two peoples.

In his speech, Wu Jianghao said that China and Japan are important neighbors of each other, and in the history of exchanges of more than 2,000 years, the people of the two countries have learned from each other, which has not only promoted their respective development, but also contributed to the progress of Asian civilization. At a critical juncture in China-Japan relations, the two sides should follow the important consensus reached at the summit of the two countries in November last year, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and practical cooperation while properly handling contradictions and differences, and jointly promote the development of bilateral relations.

Yasuo Fukuda said that the history of exchanges between Japan and China for more than 2,000 years cannot be achieved by relying solely on the power of the government, and it is necessary to rely on the power of the private sector to better promote exchanges between governments.

In his speech, Masadachi Takamura said that in November last year, the leaders of Japan and China reaffirmed the positioning of bilateral relations in an all-round way to promote strategic and mutually beneficial relations, and are committed to building a constructive and stable Japan-China relationship that meets the requirements of the new era. It is hoped that the exchange meeting will provide more wisdom for exchanges between the two countries and deepen mutual understanding between the two peoples.
