In order to benefit more people with the well-being of the Bihe River, Laodong Town has formulated a 20-kilometer canal system supporting plan, covering seven villages (communities) including Miaoshan Village, Yuanchaomen Village, Aojiazhai Village and Longmen Community, so as to ensure that more farmland is nourished by the water of the Bihe River. According to Ma Rongshan, director of the Bihe Water Supply Engineering Affairs Center of Lezhi County, the total amount of spring irrigation emergency water diversion work plan for the Lezhi section of the first phase of the Bihe water supply project in 2024 is 20 million square meters, of which 2 million square meters are used for domestic water replenishment and 18 million square meters are used for agricultural irrigation and other water replenishment, which will provide a solid guarantee for urban and rural residents' domestic water in the next 6 months and more than 100,000 mu of spring irrigation water. The water transfer will last until late May and will last about 50 days.
