Background of urban renewal in Qinhuai District
With the extensive support and attention of all walks of life, after exploration in recent years, Qinhuai District has continuously deepened the "urban renewal with temperature" around the satisfaction of the masses, innovation activity, and cultural integration, and has formed a certain degree of social influence.
At present, the Old Town South Historic City (covering an area of about 7.29 square kilometers) is actively promoting the integration of all-for-one tourism and culture, business and tourism for tourists and citizens, and the area has gradually transformed into a tourist destination and Internet celebrity check-in place, and has become a hot spot for investment and development of the humanistic economy and new quality productivity.

2. Construct a cultural heritage exhibition space system
3. Protect the diversity of functions and characteristics of historic urban areas
4. Systematically improve the environmental quality of historical urban areas
5. Advocate small-scale renovation and renewal of courtyards

Urban Renewal Project in Hehuatang Area - Introduction
Hehuatang Historical and Cultural District is one of the 11 historical and cultural districts identified in the "Nanjing Historical and Cultural City Protection Plan (2010-2020)". The lotus pond is the traditional residential area of the Ming and Qing dynasties with the clearest existing historical pattern, the most complete traditional style and the richest historical relics in the old city, and 70% of the residential functions are retained by the protection and renewal method of "endogenous renewal". The project is bounded by Shuizhai Nunnery, Mopan Street and Zhongshan South Road in the east, the city wall in the south, Mingyang Street in the west, and Yingao Lane in the north, with a total area of 12.57 hectares. Among them, 2.07 hectares of land on the east side of Mingyang Street have been renovated and are being used for investment.
According to the "Reply of the Municipal Government on the <南京荷花塘历史文化街区保护与再生方案><荷花塘历史文化街区保护规划深化方案>Revision of the Planning and Management Unit of the Qinhuai Old Town Unit >NJZCa030-54 and 55) of the Regulatory Detailed Planning of the Main Urban Area (Urban Area) of Nanjing, <the District is dominated by traditional residential functions and is compatible with some historical and cultural display and experience functions.
At present, the project is carrying out the construction of municipal pipelines and the repair of protected buildings in the area.

The urban renewal project of Heilang Lane is located in Shuangtang Street, Qinhuai District, north to Shengzhou Road, east to Heilang Lane, south to Jinshajing, and west to Zhongshan South Road, covering a total area of about 1.25 hectares and a total construction area of 9,341 square meters. The project is located in the core area of Qinhuai Old Town, surrounded by a number of commercial entities such as Vientiane World, Aqua City, Xinanli, Maoye Tiandi, etc., and is an important part of the Sanshan Street-Confucius Temple cultural tourism business district. At present, the first round of consultation with residents has been completed.

The courtyard sits in the north and faces south, and there are three entrances in existence, and the courtyard is preserved as a whole. The house is the top of the hard mountain, the second hall is five rooms wide, there are partition grilles and doors and windows carving; the third courtyard is two floors, the layout structure of the three rooms is intact, the doors and windows of the building are hung with exquisite carvings, and the back wall of the second entrance has the complete archway carvings.
It is recorded that the house is the former residence of Li Chunhua, the "king of department stores" in the south of the city, and is now inherited by his children.
