Sponge composite fabrics are usually composed of three layers: a single layer of fabric, a sponge layer and a thin backing/backing film, which cleverly combines the soft touch of sponge with the durable characteristics of composite fabrics, making it the preferred material for car seats and child seats. However, this multi-layer composite fabric is difficult to clean and care after wetting and staining, especially for child seats, which are more likely to be stained with milk, dark soy sauce, juice and other water-based stains in daily use.
In order to meet the requirements of Jiangsu baby products brand customers for high waterproof and anti-fouling performance of level 5 and anti-aging pump level 5, and to ensure the environmental protection and safety of the fabrics, the Texnology® technical team selected the Texnology® series that does not contain fluoride and has a good finishing effect on chemical fiber fabrics for the polyester sponge composite fabrics for customers, and developed the waterproof and anti-fouling functions of children's seat fabric products.

4) Instruments and equipment:
l WIDE sample drying and setting machine
l EL-A/B pneumatic rolling mill
5) Customer requirements:
l Use fluorine-free waterproofing agent for testing;
l Waterproof performance: waterproof level 5;
l Anti-fouling performance: anti-aging smoke level 5.
6) Reference test standard:
l Waterproof: GB/T 4745-2012 "Detection and Evaluation of Waterproof Performance of Textiles - Water Wetting Law";
l Antifouling: GB/T 30159.1-2013 "Testing and Evaluation of Antifouling Performance of Textiles – Part 1: Stain Resistance"
7) Waterproof and anti-fouling finishing process of polyester sponge composite fabric:
l One dipping and one rolling (pressure: 3kg, rolling rate: 84%)→ Drying and baking (160°C×4min)
2. Test results and conclusions

The sponge composite fabric samples processed and sorted by the Texnology® series can reach the anti-aging pumping level 5 effect, and the No. 1, 2 and 4 process formulas can reach the waterproof level 5 effect, which meets the customer's expected performance indicators;
The material feel and abrasion resistance of the sponge composite fabric sample remain unchanged, with excellent waterproof and anti-fouling performance, and the fabric comfort, practicability and functionality are excellent, which can bring higher product added value to child seats.
