For reference, the Tiguan L on sale has a length, width and height of 4733 (4735)/1839 (1859)/1673 (1677) mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2791 mm. In contrast, the wheelbase of the new-generation Tiguan L PRO remains unchanged, and the body height has increased slightly.

Power: High/low power 2.0T engine option

It is reported that the new generation Tiguan L PRO provides a low-power 2.0T engine and a high-power 2.0T engine options, of which the low-power 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 137 kilowatts, and the high-power 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 162 kilowatts, and provides a four-wheel drive system optional. However, the drivetrain of the car has not been officially announced, and it is expected to remain unchanged. For reference, all 2024 Tiguan L models currently on sale are powered by a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

Competitor Analysis/Market Status

The new Tiguan L PRO is positioned as a mid-size SUV, which is in the same class as the Tanyue and Envision. It is reported that the new generation Tiguan L PRO will adopt the same sales strategy as the current Tiguan L, and will more fully cover the mid-size SUV market in the future. Of course, with the launch of the new Tiguan L PRO, the price of the current Tiguan L is expected to be further reduced.
