More than 20 days ago, witnessed by hundreds of car owners, media and millions of netizens on the whole network, Yaoguang C-DM took the initiative to launch a continuous impact test of the chassis of a new energy vehicle that far exceeded the national standard (30 km/h, 30mm intrusion), and hit three consecutive underbody obstacles with 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm intrusion (overlap) with the battery at a speed of 30km/h, 40km/h, and 50km/h respectively. The test vehicle used for dismantling this time is the Yaoguang C-DM that can still achieve "no smoke, no leakage, and no water immersion" after "3 consecutive impacts and 30min standing".

Before the dismantling, under the strict supervision of the national authority China Automobile Center, the engineer first conducted a charge and discharge test on the vehicle. In less than 1 minute, the charging voltage quickly stabilized at about 330V, the charging power rose to 35.32kW, the real-time charging temperature was normal, and the power rose to 26%. During the whole charging process, the fault-free light of the vehicle dashboard was lit, and there was no abnormal charging of the vehicle or the charging pile.

Subsequently, the test vehicle also completed three consecutive full-throttle acceleration tests from 0 to 100 km/h in EV mode. The vehicle accelerates from a standstill to more than 46 km/h in 4 seconds, showing that the acceleration ability is normal, proving that the battery is functioning properly with high-power discharge.

The above tests show that even after suffering 3 times the continuous impact of the national standard, the internal structure of the power battery, the battery cell and the water cooling system of the Yaoguang C-DM remain normal and can work normally, fully demonstrating the excellent safety performance of the whole vehicle, especially the battery system.

Yaoguang C-DM battery passed another 126 times impact drop test

What is eye-catching is that during the live broadcast, Yaoguang C-DM successfully completed the industry's first test of "impact strength exceeding the national standard by 126 times" of battery drop impact simulation upright prism.

Compared with the national standard GB/T31467.3 battery drop test, this test is already difficult. When falling from a height of 2 meters, the gravitational potential energy is twice as high as that of the national standard of 1 meter. The contact surface of the battery designed to simulate the edge of the manhole cover is only 40×500mm² in size, and the impact pressure is as high as 126.6 times that of the national standard. Under such a test design, if you want to be unharmed after falling, it is better than the continuous impact test of the chassis.
