"Indigo shoes, stepping on the soft soil, each foot socket, carved sole lines. The honest seeds are scattered in the soil, sharing the happiness brought by the pit of the feet. This is the most romantic walk of the Kanto people, every step, the dream is written into the soil, this is the most heroic walk of the black soil, step by step, measuring the length of spring......" In the poem "Treading the Grid", Wang Changyuan uses very few words to engrave the memory of spring sowing and stepping on the ridge, and also brings infinite warmth to the reader.

"I found that if we want to truly express and promote the land under our feet in an all-round, multi-angle and three-dimensional way, as well as the people who work diligently and the colorful culture of the Northeast region, we cannot achieve it with novels or other literary styles alone. Wang Changyuan said that after a period of confusion, consultation and thinking, he finally found a broader perspective, a more free and flexible way of expression - writing poetry. Since opening the door of poetry, the "kingdom of freedom", he has indulged in writing about mountains, water, and pastorals, the endless view of the vast land, the childlike joy of children blowing willow leaves in spring, and the killing of New Year's pigs in the cropyard on the day of the moon...... Wang Changyuan said that thanks to the book "Guandong Dialect Vocabulary" co-edited with Mr. Wang Bo in the 90s of the 20th century, many of the well-studied northeastern dialects of Jilin Province in the book have become the carriers for him to issue affectionate "confessions" to the northeast regional culture. And this new creative idea of "willows and flowers and bright villages" made him feel full of talent and excitement, and the unique ice and snow culture, mountain and forest culture, culture, and farming culture in the Northeast region were presented by him one by one.

"I didn't have a huge writing plan, but I was able to write 150 poems in three years, and 110 of them were included in "Old Northeast Memory", which supported and inspired me by three forces. Wang Changyuan said that every time a poem comes out in the book, he must first pass it on to a few very good literary friends to taste, whether the poem has power or not, whether it can quench the "thirst", it all depends on everyone's comments. In addition to the power given by old friends, many strange poetry friends and recitation enthusiasts from different cities have released soundtrack recitation videos of poems such as "Willow Leaf Calling" on the Internet, which also gave Wang Changyuan the motivation to work hard to meet the spiritual and cultural life of the masses. Not only that, the children's recitation activity of "Old Northeast Memory, New City Story" was promoted to the campus...... "I was deeply moved to see that many children love the Northeast regional culture so much, and I have a sense of responsibility and mission, and I must do a good job in rescuing, excavating and inheriting regional culture, and better spread the stories that happened in the black land with catchy poetry." This also became the force that inspired Wang Changyuan to write poetry.
"Memories of the Old Northeast" is no longer an "aria" for the author to express his personal emotions and memories, but has become a literary and artistic worker who was born and grew up in Si, writing moving poems that remember the Northeast, praise the Northeast, and be grateful to the Northeast. Wang Changyuan did not simply stop at the details, but tried his best to inject human nature and philosophical thinking into his simple poems - "When you are cowardly, you drink a bowl, and bones immediately grow in your shoulders." Drink a bowl in the tenth winter wax month, and remove the coldness in the bones. When a homeless person drinks a bowl, he will think of the local kang, his father and mother and the hot kang head ......".

Let old objects grow new flesh and blood
Wang Changyuan, 65 years old this year, was born in Dacheng Township, Da'an City, Jilin Province, and has lived on the Nenjiang River since he was a child, which has accumulated a lot of rich and fresh materials for his future creations. After retirement, he and his lover often "revisited" for three to five months. He said that the countryside is the most down-to-earth field market, and it is always a treasure land that can inspire creativity.
As a result, in the poetic works such as "Playing Winter Nets", "Slow-Frozen Pears", "Indigo Grass", "Running Ice Row", "Wicker Side", etc., readers gradually learned about old Northeast objects such as indigo shoes, cigarette baskets, hook plows, galaha, and rollers. This piece of old objects from the land of the Northeast, the countryside, and the hot kang head seems to have regrown flesh and blood because of the power of words, and has tendons and heartbeats. In this regard, Wang Changyuan said that Chen Zhongzhong would not be able to write the classic novel "Bailuyuan" if he left Bailuyuan; Jia Pingwa would not be able to write the classic novella series "Notes on Shangzhou" if he left Shaanxi; and as a writer, if he left the black land and the pine water of Baishan and Songshui, he would not be able to write "Memories of the Old Northeast".
In his opinion, these words with ice ballast, soil slag, and sorghum flowers are a medium for him to try to lead readers to touch the heartbeat of the land of Northeast China and listen to the breath of white mountains and black waters. "At present, I am working on a novel based on fishing and hunting culture, and will be invited to continue to write the next "Memories of the Old Northeast". Wang Changyuan said.
