"Water, water, water, water, water!" Every year in April, the Songkran Festival in Yunnan attracts tourists from all over the world to experience this grand carnival and feel the joy of the water splashing.

The Songkran Festival is translated into Dai language as "Sangkan Bimai", which means Dai New Year, and is the grandest traditional festival of the Dai, De'ang, Brown and Achang ethnic minorities, and is also one of the festivals with greater influence and more participants in the festivals of the ethnic minorities in Yunnan.

In Yunnan, when the Songkran Festival arrives in mid-April every year, men, women and children will dress up in festive costumes, sing and dance, and splash water with friends from all over the world to express their blessings.
