At that moment, two American soldiers stepped onto the threshold of the house, waving their weapons in their hands and shouting arrogantly, "I'm sorry everyone, we need to take a break in the private room." The sound was like a stone stirring up a thousand waves, and the diners who had been bustling suddenly fell silent, as if waiting for something to happen. Astonishingly, the South Korean diners, without the slightest doubt or excuse, stepped back and politely gave up their seats to the two military men from the Western powers. These details, like small stones, are inconspicuous, but they stir up huge ripples step by step, causing me to think deeply in my heart.
The exciting scene continued—and soon after, several other American servicemen in military uniforms and ranks rushed in, shouting the same words: "Gentlemen, can you please let us sit down here and rest?" He replied in a firm tone: "Chinese!" The American soldier immediately replied, "Indeed!" and nodded politely away. It seems like a short conversation, but it is actually full of deep connotations. In this silent contest, the Chinese people displayed the qualities of self-respect and self-improvement and fearless power; American soldiers also showed respect for others and courtesy. Although the two sides have different positions, they have demonstrated their cherishing of human rights and the spirit of mutual understanding and tolerance with their actions.
