As for the specific situation, it was learned that the victim, Xiao Shami, was 13 years old, and that the abbot of the temple secretly stepped forward to sexually assault him while he was sleeping in the pavilion, and also forced him to perform oral sex. After the incident, the abbot tried to molest the novice and enticed him that he would give him 1,000 baht each time if he was willing to sleep with him like this. And this move was all seen by the other novices on the side.
The next morning, the novice's parents went to the temple to make merit, but they were shocked to find that his eyes were red, and all the novice parents quickly took the child away from the temple and informed the school of the incident. The school called to learn that the abbot initially denied it, but as the evidence gradually became clear, he finally had to admit it.
Subsequently, the abbot interviewed and negotiated with the victim's family, and offered to pay 20,000 baht and 50,000 baht respectively, but both were refused, and the family said that they needed 150,000 baht to settle the matter. At present, the Buddhist office in the area has set up an investigation committee to follow up on the matter.
