In the spring equinox, in the rice and shrimp co-cultivation base of Huanggang Village and Shuangyan Village, Shengkang Town, Gucheng County, you can see the busy scene of spring plowing and preparation everywhere.
Relying on the rice-shrimp co-cultivation industry, Shengkang Town has not only driven more than 800 farmers to benefit from land transfer, local work and cooperative breeding, but also realized the "harmonious symbiosis" of rice and aquatic products, and created the first shrimp and rice demonstration area integrating ecology, high yield and agricultural tourism in Gucheng.
The agricultural demonstration area of Shengkang Town, Gucheng County, has 2,500 acres of rice and shrimp co-cropping base, 1,000 acres of rapeseed breeding base, and fragrant tea base, and supporting the construction of fragrant tea cultural center, flower maze and other cultural and tourism facilities. After the completion of the demonstration area, the annual output value of the two agricultural industry demonstration belts in Shengkang Town will exceed 20 million yuan, providing 1,200 jobs, and driving the per capita income of villagers in the demonstration area to increase by 1,500 yuan.
Along the Yauber Road of the rice and shrimp co-cropping base all the way to the south, the 100-acre four-season flower sea base in Jiuliping Village, Nanhe Town has been completed, and the walking trail and homestay project have also ushered in the first peak of passenger flow in this spring. The whole project integrates catering and accommodation, leisure and entertainment, and research, and is equipped with outdoor camping facilities such as camping bases and RV campsites, which are expected to be officially opened before May Day, and the current room reservation has reached 80%.
In 2022, thanks to the support of the Central Special Lottery Community Chest, Gucheng County successfully applied for the Nanhe River Basin Rural Revitalization Project, and received 50 million yuan of support from the Central Special Lottery Community Chest, while the financial support was 65 million yuan, Gucheng County broke the regional restrictions of Shengkang Town and Nanhe Town, and "strung beads into a chain" of 2 towns and 7 villages, forming a spatial layout of "one center, two axes and three districts", and promoting regional coordinated development. At the same time, relying on the existing industrial resources and cultural and tourism development advantages, highlighting key areas and leading industries, promoting the quality and efficiency of characteristic and advantageous industries, and realizing the high-quality protection and development of comprehensive river basin management.
It is understood that in order to give full play to the "yeast" role of the central government's funds, Gucheng County relies on the resource endowment of the Nanhe River Basin, selects long-term industries, cultivates high-output and high-value-added projects, and plans to implement 18 sub-projects of three types: "agricultural characteristic industries", "small public welfare infrastructure" and "human settlements improvement", laying a solid foundation for the economic revitalization of 7 villages along the Nanhe River Basin, benefiting 7,291 households and 22,466 villagers.
