The excavated objects include bricks and tiles of the Tang Dynasty, tiles, pottery fragments and Tang Sancai fragments. Miaogou's past and present life

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Luoyang also experienced wars, but the society obviously had a relatively stable period. Around this time, a Miao family fled to the vicinity of the abandoned kiln workshop and found a hole in the ditch to live in a broken kiln. In order to support his family, Miao used the only loose silver to buy some wheat and grain, bought a plate of stone mills, processed them into flour by himself, and then sold them in the market to make a hard job.

Due to diligence and thrift, honest duty, and fresh raw materials, once Miaojia stone grinding noodles came out, they soon opened up sales with high quality and low price, and were often in short supply. In order to make more money, the Miao family also worked hard, grinding noodles at night and selling noodles during the day, and they were very busy.

Seeing this, some of the villagers in the neighboring villages took the initiative to give grain on credit, and some simply joined the gang to grind noodles. Everyone's kindness, the Miao family understands it, and everyone who comes does not refuse to come, and all are welcome. In this way, the Miao family's business is getting bigger and better. Every evening, every house in the ditch is brightly lit, and there is a squeaky grinding sound, people shouting and cattle screaming, a busy scene. At dawn, the carriages that brought noodles to the city, one after another, came out of the ditch, which was also very spectacular.

For a long time, the ditch where the Miao family is located is called "face ditch", also known as "Miao ditch". Since the pronunciation of "Miao" and "Noodles" is similar, it is not wrong to call it with the same meaning. Later, the ditch became popular and formed a fixed village, which was collectively called "Miaojiagou", referred to as Miaogou, and has been inherited.

The name of Miaogou has been officially compiled in the early Qing Dynasty. Compiled in the Qing Dynasty Qianlong ten years of the "Luoyang County Chronicles", Li Baomu has the words "Northwest Road Wuli Miaogou". This sentence means that Miaogou is in Luoyang County, Qingyang, northwest of today's old city, and the two places are five miles away.
