In order to cherish the memory of the revolutionary martyrs and inherit the spirit of the martyrs, according to the notice on carrying out the publicity and education activities on the theme of "Casting the Soul 2024 - Qingming Festival for Heroes and Martyrs" jointly issued by 10 departments including the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, on April 1, the Zhengding County Veterans Affairs Bureau was led by the bureau leaders to carry out the Qingming Festival and sweep the martyrs at the Zhao Shengming Martyrs Monument, Xiaoke Martyrs Cemetery, Changshan Martyrs Cemetery, and Guying Village Martyrs Cemetery.
The green shade reflects the souls of the martyrs, and the stars and torches are passed down from generation to generation. In the Guying Martyrs Cemetery, more than 20 representatives of newly retired soldiers, veterans and militia company commanders of various communities in Zhufutun Street in 2024 wiped the monument, cleaned the environmental sanitation, reviewed the "Military Oath", presented flower baskets to the revolutionary martyrs, and told the background of the construction of the cemetery and the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed. With reverence, all the personnel paid a silent tribute in front of the monument to the revolutionary martyrs, expressing their infinite remembrance and deep remembrance for the revolutionary martyrs.
The staff and volunteers of the "Changshan Veterans" who participated in the event carefully and meticulously cleaned the martyrs' cemetery, wiped the martyrs' tombstones, listened to the heroic deeds of the martyrs, paid homage to the monument to the revolutionary martyrs, presented flower baskets and flowers to the revolutionary martyrs, bowed three times to pay tribute and mourned in silence...... Through a solemn and concise way, he expressed his reverence, remembrance, and inheritance to the martyrs.
In 1947, in order to liberate Zhengding City, martyr Zhao Shengming fought bravely and died heroically. Volunteers came to the Zhao Shengming Martyrs Monument, carrying rags, buckets, brooms, dustpans and other tools, carefully and conscientiously wiping the monument for the martyrs, cleaning the environment, and remembering the revolutionary martyrs, expressing their sorrows, and paying tribute to their ancestors in the form of volunteer service.
Every revolutionary martyr is a spiritual monument, and every remembrance is a baptism of thought. In the Xiaoke Martyrs Cemetery, the staff who participated in the event and the volunteers of "Changshan Veterans" presented flowers to each martyr's tombstone, reviewed the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs, and guided everyone to remember the contributions and sacrifices made by the heroes and martyrs for the country, the people and the nation.
Remembrance is for better inheritance, and remembrance is for better comfort. Through the Qingming Festival sweeping activities, all the staff relived the heroic deeds and cultivated patriotic feelings.
