First, the traditional advantageous areas continued to consolidate, achieving an added value of 245 billion yuan in the financial industry, a total retail sales of 240 billion yuan in consumer goods, ranking first in the city for 19 consecutive years, and a total import and export volume of more than 780 billion yuan, ranking first in the province's foreign trade for 24 consecutive years.
Last year, the added value of industries above the designated size was 59.525 billion yuan, and the total output value of industries above the designated size was 258.691 billion yuan, which was twice that of 2019, and the proportion of industry in GDP increased from 3.9% in 2019 to 7.9% in 2023, doubling.
Third, the confidence of enterprises has been continuously enhanced, and more high-quality industries, enterprises, capital, and talents have chosen Futian, and a steady stream of them have converged in Futian. There were 119 high-quality projects in the whole year, an increase of more than 92%, 2,231 new foreign-funded enterprises, accounting for nearly three percent of the city's total, an increase of 107.34%, the actual use of foreign capital was 2.581 billion US dollars, an increase of 81%, nearly four times that of 2019, and the number of newly registered commercial entities exceeded 70,000, all of which reached a record high.

The added value of high-tech industries was 85.5 billion yuan, an increase of 76.3% over 2019, and its proportion in GDP increased from 10.6% in 2019 to 15% in 2023, becoming an important support for the high-quality economic development of the whole region.
10% compulsory education places are offered in 4% of the area
While developing the economy with high quality, Futian has always adhered to the high-quality development of people's livelihood.
Zhou Jiangtao said that in the past year, Futian has solidly promoted the ecological construction of "Mountains and Seas Connect the City and Green Beauty Shenzhen", officially settled in the world's first international mangrove center, and the whole line runs through the ecological breakpoint of Meilin Mountain - Yinhu Mountain, and Meilin Mountain and Yinhu Mountain will "join hands" after 28 years.
In addition, with the "small incision" to improve the "people's livelihood", the national basic public service standardization pilot passed the acceptance with the first result in the country, the average subsidy for inclusive private kindergarten students increased from 1,333 yuan to 6,000 yuan, with 4% of the city's area to provide 10% of the compulsory education degree, the number of beds for 1,000 people in the city's first.
At the same time, more than 15,000 units of affordable housing were newly built and raised, and a total of 32,912 units were completed in three years, completing the original target of 23,000 units in the 14th Five-Year Plan ahead of schedule.
