"Traffic Violation Reminder Information"

But it followed

Attention Su F car owners!Important reminder →
Attention Su F car owners!Important reminder →

Take the wrong lane, compacted line...... Many drivers have had such an experience, do they want to click on the link to see where they have violated the rules?

Attention Su F car owners!Important reminder →

When you click on the link in the text message to view the details, what pops up is a copycat version of the violation query platform, if you enter your name, ID card, mobile phone number, and password as required, your personal information will be leaked, but the scammer wants more than these, and the next step is to guide the victim to download the fraud APP to achieve the purpose of defrauding money

Attention Su F car owners!Important reminder →

This type of scam

How do you trick people?

Let's take a look

Analysis of fraud routines

Step 1: Get the information. Criminals obtain information about victims and vehicles through improper means, and then send fraudulent text messages to car owners through number-changing software, and attach URL links to fake websites in the messages.

Step 2: Obtain the card number and password. Once the car owner receives such illegal information, once the link is clicked into the fake website, the scammer will further induce the car owner to fill in personal information such as ID card number and bank card number, so as to achieve fraud.

Step 3: Implant the virus. Another trick is simple and crude, the URL link attached to the scammer's text message is implanted with a Trojan virus, once the link is clicked, it will cause the mobile phone and other devices to be "hacked", and the scammer will further carry out the theft.

How to distinguish a real text message

01

Keep in mind the source of the SMS

The SMS number sent by the traffic police department to the car owner is a fixed SMS platform number, and it will not be a mobile phone number or an overseas number with "00" and "+".

02

The included link is suspicious

The traffic police department's reminder text message will not be accompanied by a website link, but will only remind the car owner to deal with the traffic violation as soon as possible.

03

Verification confirmation is key

If there is any doubt about the authenticity of the text message, the owner can also inquire and confirm through the "traffic management 12123" APP.

What does a real violation information look like?
