Mr. Cao Qiyong and his wife, Ms. Cao Luo Bizhen, are obsessed with collecting, especially Zhong lacquer art, love Sangzi, generous donation, turning private into public, and have donated a total of 162 pieces (groups) of lacquerware to the Zhejiang Provincial Museum for three times, so as to make the collection and benefit the people.

These precious lacquerware are rare treasures of human culture, and they also embody their ardent patriotism and love for their families. "It is better to be happy alone than to be happy with others", so that the world can appreciate these artistic treasures, which is the original intention of Cao Qiyong and his wife's donation. The exhibition focuses on the beauty of lacquerware, and shows the beauty of ancient Chinese lacquerware from three aspects: color, shape and decoration of lacquerware. With this special exhibition, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and highest respect to Mr. and Mrs. Cao Qiyong.

On the occasion of the opening of the new Zhijiang Museum of Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Mr. Cao once again selflessly donated a lacquerware masterpiece to Zhebo - the contemporary red "Qingming Riverside Map" seat screen. This seat screen was designed in 1995 by the Chinese arts and crafts master Wen Qiangang, master Wen Qiangang and his team took a year to create. The whole work is 3.0 meters long and 1.8 meters high, and it is the only huge carved lacquer screen with the theme of Qingming Shanghe in China.

After the opening of the museum, the Zhijiang Pavilion on the second floor of the temporary exhibition hall carefully prepared the "Sangzi Lacquer Edge - Cao Qiyong and his wife donated lacquerware exhibition", the exhibition to the beauty of lacquerware as the main purpose, from the three aspects of lacquer color, shape, decoration to show the beauty of ancient Chinese lacquerware.
