Seiko has launched the new 5 Sports SNXS Series and is available in three different models: SRPK87, SRPK89 and SRPK91. With contrasting dials and a new bracelet, the new watch is equipped with an automatic movement with stop-seconds function, is more water-resistant, and is popular at an affordable price.
The new watch has a diameter of 37.4 mm and a thickness of 12.5 mm. The brushed and polished case is made of stainless steel, with a Hardlex crystal crystal, a semi-set crown at 4 o'clock and a see-through case back, which is water-resistant from 30 to 100 metres.
The dial is available in three different colour schemes: navy blue (Ref. SRPK87), black (Ref. SRPK89) or ivory (ref. SRPK91), all with a striking orange seconds hand. The surface of the plate is decorated with a sunburst pattern, which presents a wonderful visual effect with the change of light.
The baton hands and appliquéd indexes are coated with beige Lumibrite luminescent material to ensure readability in low-light conditions, and in combination with the minute track on the outer edge of the dial, the time information is indicated. There is also a day and date window at 3 o'clock.
By looking through the case back, you can admire the built-in movement. The internal movement has been upgraded from 7S26 to 4R36, which beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), has manual winding and stop-seconds functions, and offers a power reserve of 41 hours.
