In order to create a strong social atmosphere of "advocating heroes, remembering heroes, learning heroes, and defending heroes", recently, Menghe Town and Xixiashu Town have successively carried out Qingming Festival martyrs activities.
Menghe Town
On April 4, the staff of the Menghe Town Veterans Service Station and the head of the Wansui Community Veterans Service Station, Han Changjie, led the community veterans volunteers and some village party members and cadres, with deep sorrow for the revolutionary martyrs, to the Tianhuazhuang Breakthrough Battle Site to carry out the commemorative activities with the theme of "Casting the Soul 2024 Qingming Festival to Sweep the Heroes", offering flowers, observing for three minutes, bowing and saluting, and expressing the memory of the revolutionary martyrs with practical actions.
Everyone said that they should inherit the glorious tradition of the revolutionary martyrs, keep in mind the legacy of the martyrs, be down-to-earth, forge ahead bravely, carry forward the spirit of service and dedication, and pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs with practical actions.
Xixiashu Town
On April 3, Yuan Guohua, member of the Party Committee and Minister of the Ministry of People's Armed Forces of Xixiashu Town, militia company commanders of various villages, staff of veterans service stations in towns and villages, and student representatives of Xixiashu Central Primary School carried out the theme activity of "Casting Soul 2024 Qingming Festival Heroes" in front of the tomb of martyr Zhang Pengyun.
The green mountains and green waters have long left the heroic spirit before their deaths, and the green pines and cypresses can comfort the heroic souls after death. Representatives of retired soldiers and students presented flower baskets to the martyrs, and Yuan Guohua arranged ribbons for the flower baskets. All the personnel dressed solemnly, observed a three-minute silence in tribute to the revolutionary martyrs and laid flowers. Subsequently, everyone listened to the heroic deeds of martyr Zhang Pengyun and recalled the history of the party's bloody struggle in Xixiashu.
