Officials announced today that the Zhiji L6 will debut a solid-state battery named "Light Year", which is also the first generation of solid-state batteries for Zhiji Automobile.
Liu Tao, co-CEO of Zhiji Auto, said that although the "light-year" solid-state battery is only the first generation, it has achieved a power increase of more than 30% and easily reached a range of 1,000 kilometers at almost the same weight.
According to ITBEAR, the Zhiji L6 will make its debut in China on April 8, and then will participate in the 2024 Beijing International Automobile Exhibition in the same month, and will be officially launched in May.
In addition, for the first time, the car will be equipped with a "smart digital chassis" that supports rear-wheel steering, which is said to be able to "go sideways" on the road and "move in place" within the parking space.
In addition, the new car will launch the first mass-produced ultra-fast charging solid-state battery based on the quasi-900V platform, achieving a range of more than 1,000 kilometers (four-wheel drive models), and claiming to ensure a high level of battery safety from the battery cell level, so that the whole pack of L0 batteries does not spread heat without fire.
The dual-motor and single-motor models of the Zhiji L6 have been declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology one after another. The new car is 4931mm long, 1960mm wide, 1474mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2950mm.
The dual-motor all-wheel drive model has two electric motors with a maximum output of 200 kW and 379 kW, respectively, and a top speed of 268 km/h.
The single-motor model is available in a variety of different outputs of 216 kW, 248 kW and 300 kW, corresponding to a top speed of 200 km/h, 220 km/h and 222 km/h respectively.
The car can be equipped with an optional 90 kWh or 100 kWh capacity battery (semi-solid battery specifications have not yet been announced), and the known range includes 700/720/750/770km.
