Samsung S25 Ultra Leaks Detailed Summary! This "Android King" Apple is afraid

　　Although it has only been a long time since the Samsung S24 Ultra was unveiled in January, the announcement of the S24 Ultra is still fresh in people's memories. But the development of the Samsung S25 Ultra is already well underway. At present, rumors of the S25 Ultra have begun to appear on the Internet, and there will be more and more news about the new device as the release time gradually approaches.

　　After Samsung fully supports the Galaxy AI feature in this year's phones, it is expected that the S25 series (including the Ultra) will continue this feature as well. It is reported that the Samsung S25 Ultra has made improving the camera a top priority, as Samsung tries to show Apple how to make the best camera phone.

Release date and price

　　Based on the past release cadence, it seems too early to speculate on the release date of the Samsung S25 Ultra. In recent years, Samsung has gradually brought forward the release date of the Galaxy S series, which used to be available in February. This year's S24 series launch was the earliest ever, with the global Galaxy Unpacked event taking place on January 17 (2 a.m. Beijing time on January 18) and the national version on January 25.

　　Samsung has raised the price of the S24 Ultra this year to $1,299. For reference, the S23 Ultra costs $1199. 　　The bezels of the S24 Ultra have just been switched to titanium, and we don't expect Samsung to make changes for the S25 series. Similarly, Samsung has used the same basic design in the recent Ultra version, with the camera arranged vertically on the back of the phone and the lens protruding slightly. 　　Rumors suggest that the display size of the entry-level models of Samsung's S25 series will increase, reaching 6.36 inches, compared to 6.2 inches for the S24. The S25 Ultra will have a screen closer to 6.9 inches, a slight increase from the S24 Ultra's 6.8-inch display, but we're not sure how much basis that claim has been founded.

　　Early rumors of the S25 Ultra suggest that the S25 Ultra's wide-angle lens will get an unspecified upgrade, while the ultra-wide-angle lens will jump from the 12-megapixel sensor on the S24 Ultra to the 50-megapixel sensor on the new phone. 

　　In addition, the telephoto lens on the S25 Ultra is expected to get "variable functionality". It's uncertain what exactly this means, but it could be that the focus can be changed, and the end result is a smoother zoom, especially when shooting video. As for the credibility of the leaks, it's worth mentioning that the leaker did correctly predict that the S24 Ultra would be upgraded to a 50-megapixel telephoto lens before its release.

Performance and battery

　　Given that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is used in the S24 Ultra, it is expected that the Samsung S25 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform. (In fact, this year's Ultra version is the only S24 model that relies entirely on Qualcomm chips, as both the standard S24 and S24 Plus use Exynos 2400 processors in models released outside of North America.) Qualcomm has confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform will launch in October.

　　Early Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 benchmarks have been leaked, and while such uncensored numbers shouldn't be entirely trusted, they do paint a rosy picture of the chipset's performance. According to leaked Geekbench results, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 matches the highest score produced by the A18 Binic-powered iPhone. (Yes, the data for these A18s was also leaked.) ） 

　　Rumor has it that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will have a 4.3GHz clock core after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 reaches 3.4GHz. It's a pretty big power jump that requires Samsung and Qualcomm to figure out how to assemble such a chip into a mobile device without causing it to overheat.

　　But there are also rumors that Qualcomm will not offer the chip. On the contrary, @OreXda rumors published on the X that the Galaxy S phone will only use the Exynos chip in 2025. However, @OreXda also said that it was "just a rumor that I heard...... and not my sources".

　　More credible rumors suggest that the S25 series will use a mix of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Exynos 2500 chipsets, just like the S24 series. If Samsung strictly follows the approach of the S24 series, this means that the S25 Ultra will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform exclusively, while the S25 and S25 Plus models will use Exynos chips in some cases. This is a significant difference, as the S24 benchmark shows that the S24's Exynos model is slightly behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered model.

　　As for battery life, it's unclear how Samsung will incorporate a battery pack with a larger capacity than the S24 Ultra 5000mAh. Since the Samsung S24 Ultra achieved a good score of 16 hours and 45 minutes in the battery test, there is no need to worry about the S25 Ultra's battery life at all. But hopefully, the wired charging speed of the machine can be mentioned faster than the current 45W.
