The WTA500 Charleston semi-finals have been released!
In the quarterfinals of Charleston, the No. 3 seed Sakkari defeated the former champion No. 9 seed Kudermetova 6-2, 6-4 and reached the semi-finals for the first time in her career!
Collins defeated 11th seed Mertens 6-3, 6-4 to reach the semi-finals of Charleston for the first time in 11 straight victories, and her first time on clay since winning the trophy in Palermo 2021, in the semi-finals against Sakkari.
In the other two Charleston quarter-finals, top seed Pegula saved four match points in a tie-break after missing four match points in the deciding set to narrowly defeat 12th seed Azarenka 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(7) to advance to the semi-finals.
Former tournament champion and fourth seed Kasatkina defeated Christian 6-7(4) 6-2 6-3 to advance to the semi-finals against Pegula.
