According to Shams of the Athletic, Bronny James has announced that he will be participating in the 2024 NBA Draft. As soon as the news came out, it instantly rushed to the hot search in the United States.
Bronny is reportedly set to try out for a number of NBA teams, while maintaining his college credentials and staying flexible in the NCAA transfer portal.
Bronny currently plays in USC and has played in 25 games in his freshman season, six of which have been starts. He averaged 19.4 minutes per game, 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks while shooting 36.6% from the field, 26.7% from three-point range and 67.6% from the free throw line.
Judging by the numbers, Bronny may have a hard time being selected. Moreover, he also suffered a cardiac arrest, and although he returned to the court, his performance was far from what he had before.
However, because of James's existence, Bronny may be able to rely on his father's relationship to get an NBA contract. After all, James has long expressed a desire to play with his son.
