Teams from nine residential areas under Tianping Street came to the competition with their long-prepared singing programs, and many performers came to the community cultural activity center in the morning to fully prepare for the performance. The singing competition kicked off with a melodious six-person gourd silk performance "Singing the Red Mountains Again". 9 teams all took the stage, the first appearance was "Weishan Lake" in Jianyue residential area, "Weishan Lake is shining with sunshine, fluttering white sails like clouds floating ......" when the melodious and agitated melody sounded, as if bringing people into the anti-Japanese reeds of Weishan Lake. "Love in Heaven and Earth", "Beautiful Prairie My Home", "Our Life is Full of Sunshine" ...... Under the guidance of professional teachers and piano accompaniment, the residents affectionately performed a well-known classic old song. Yu Enjun from the Shencheng residential area gave his only solo "Motherland, Kind Mother", and when the old man stood on the stage, he was slightly nervous, and everyone immediately gave him warm applause. Although many of the actors are gray-haired, standing on the stage, their costumes are bright and energetic, and everyone's faces are full of youthful brilliance and vitality.

After her retirement, she was commissioned by the Tianping Street Community Cultural Activity Center to provide piano accompaniment for the choir team in the residential area, and she accompanied three or four performances that day. She told reporters that after receiving the task, she would practice some unfamiliar repertoire repeatedly at home, and strive to have the best performance on the spot.
At the scene, the most touching thing was the enthusiasm of the residents to participate in community activities. Aunt Dai and her "best friend" in the residential area of Shanghai Xincun are elderly people who need crutches, but the two of them also appeared on the stage with the support of their old friends on crutches. "The most important thing is to participate, and we feel very happy to be able to participate in the event," said Dai. Cong Haiyan, director of the Tianping Street Community Development Office, received a message from the daughter of a resident who participated in the competition after the competition, "My mother is 88 years old, she performed on stage for the first time, and asked me to put on makeup for her, she said that she didn't wear makeup when she was a bride in the 60s of the last century." Aunt Dong, a resident, said that now the street is particularly concerned about the cultural life of the elderly, providing them with good conditions and equipped with professional teachers. Being able to participate in these activities also makes them feel happy and healthy.
