At noon on March 25, the reporter came to the Gongzhuang Community Canteen in Rongdong District and found that there were already many elderly people who came to eat in the canteen, which can accommodate more than 100 people at the same time. They told reporters that there are steamed buns, fried dough sticks, porridge, and soy milk for breakfast, and six dishes for lunch and dinner, all of which are meat and vegetables, and the porridge is free. Seniors over the age of 80 can eat for just two or three dollars.
Different from the other two community canteens in the new district that have been open to the public before, the Gongzhuang community canteen is a community canteen built by Gongzhuang community and China Railway Construction Property Management to integrate community resources, and it is the first canteen in the form of party building and joint construction in Xiong'an New Area, which also implements three different discounts for the elderly over 60 years old, strives to meet the living needs of the masses, creates a happy community, and continuously improves the sense of gain and happiness of the masses.
On March 26, the first Xinhua bookstore in the new area of Xiong'an New Area was also opened in Rongdong District. The bookstore has a construction area of about 620 square meters and is close to primary and secondary schools and residential communities. On the first floor of the bookstore, there is a children's reading area and a cultural and creative area, a small orange lantern picture book library, a coffee robot, etc. On the second floor of the bookstore, there are multi-functional halls, famous studios, intangible cultural heritage workshops, 24-hour wisdom study rooms, etc., of which the 24-hour smart study room adopts fully open bookshelves, and the electronic lending system has built-in 5,000 e-book resources, 10,000 sets of audiobooks, and 400 sets of video resources.
