However, two years ago, it was a different story: rocky, sandy, overgrown with weeds, the village's collective economic income was almost zero, idle resources were asleep, and development once fell into a "dead loop".
How can wasteland become a "treasure land"? The code for the villagers to get rich is hidden in the "one-meter farm."
Jianfeng Village
Li Ze, secretary of the general party branch and director of the village committee of Jianfeng Village, is a native of Jianfeng Village, and he is familiar with every grass and tree in the village, "In fact, the ecological background of our village is very good, and we only need to find a way to transform ecological value into economic value." Li Ze recalled that in February 2022, Jianfeng Village left about 5 acres of wasteland behind when building residential housing, "This wasteland may be a breakthrough." After preliminary research and study, Li Ze drew a development blueprint for Jianfeng Village: turning the countryside into a scenic spot, starting the construction of "one-meter vegetable field", and creating a rural aesthetic landscape based on the "three good" vegetables of "green, healthy and nutritious". At the same time, he also borrowed 500,000 yuan for the cooperative in his personal name, as a start-up fund for collective economic development, drove the masses to invest 170,000 yuan, and established Yunzhixiang Rural Tourism Company to serve the construction of rural tourism in the whole cycle.
Visitors experience the joy of picking
So, starting in July 2022, this wasteland has been "transformed" into an organic vegetable field. As far as the eye can see, the fields are full of organic vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, and radish, and tourists come here to enjoy the fun of picking them on holidays.
"We carry out regular sightseeing tours, agricultural experience, popular science research and other activities, tourists come to the village to plant and pick by hand, and the price of vegetables sold is 600% higher than the market price. Li Ze said that the operation of the vegetable garden is in accordance with the "226" distribution mechanism, 20% of the income is used for operating expenses, 20% is included in the village collective income management, and 60% is distributed to the villagers as dividends, which fully stimulates the enthusiasm of all parties to participate.

Subsequently, Jianfeng Village struck while the iron was hot and used the idle land in the village to build four shared spaces, including Liren Corridor, Music and Field, Jianshan Garden, and Linxia Market. Here, tourists can experience outdoor projects such as mountain off-road vehicles, tea brewing around the hearth, camping platforms, and forest barbecues, and the original 5 acres of "one-meter vegetable field" has also been upgraded to more than 60 acres of "one-meter pastoral".

"Through organic vegetable planting, the collective income of Jianfeng Village reached more than 50,000 yuan last year, and the tourism income generated by the shared space scene reached more than 130,000 yuan. In Li Ze's view, the increase in the income of the village collective has also made the villagers more confident in the construction of the village collective economy.

"Our village is more beautiful than before, the roads are clean and tidy, and the environment is beautiful. I also have a stake in the village collective economy, and I can also share dividends at the end of the year!" Villager Yan Yunfei is not only a shareholder of "One Meter Pastoral", but also hired as a chef by the village, "Since the opening of the park, many tourists have come to our village for sightseeing and consumption, and taste the special food of the farm. By working at my doorstep, I can increase my income by 20,000-30,000 yuan a year. ”

Talking about the next step, Li Ze said that Jianfeng Village will rely on the existing "one-meter pastoral" project to actively build collective economic projects such as forest pan tree houses and jungle off-road, and continuously expand the village collective economy through the introduction of social resources, and continue to increase the sense of gain and happiness of the masses.
