This animated sequel just proves that today's DreamWorks has fallen into a bottleneck in terms of plot, with no new ideas at all, and even needs to use the lackluster trick of borrowing the corpse to resurrect the soul, stiffly connecting the film with its predecessor.
As a popular IP of DreamWorks in the past, "Kung Fu Panda" has actually shown a decline in the plot in the third part, but the impeccable audio-visual feast covers up this, and the ending of Po becoming a grandmaster also draws a successful end to this series. But it is precisely because the story of Po the Panda has actually come to an end here, so the biggest problem is how to continue the movie around the character of Po, or find another way to recreate the new Kung Fu Panda? Unfortunately, the plot of the movie has not seriously considered this issue at all.

So what does "Kung Fu Panda 4" say? In short, the story of the movie is a Hollywood adventure template that has been used badly, and Po is used in it. This kind of assembly line plot of getting to know partners and fighting villains, it can belong to Po and can also be applied to any character in the animation, and the choice of a new heir should be the biggest highlight of the tetralogy, but the movie did not give the new characters an abundant portrayal like the previous work, in fact, from the ultimate villain Lizard was easily defeated, you can imagine the sloppy and perfunctory plot of this movie.
As a result, behind the seemingly jubilant and lively scenes, "Kung Fu Panda 4" can hardly be seen in the past series, with oriental charm and distinct characters, and outside the plot, whether it is scene design or action impressing, "Kung Fu Panda 4" can not be compared with its predecessor with the naked eye, and it can even be said that the movie has turned kung fu into a myth. The barren and pale creativity makes the movie only an hour and a half long, and it is doubly tormenting.
If the "Kung Fu Panda" trilogy is a family animation for all ages, then "Kung Fu Panda 4" can only attract children through gorgeous pictures, and the panda without the past "Kung Fu" is just a Western doll dressed in oriental skin.
