On March 17, the Municipal Federation of Social Sciences, the Second Medical College of Xinjiang, the Karamay Supervision Branch of the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration, and the Municipal Banking Association jointly held the third session of the Municipal Social Science Popularization Lecture in 2024.

This lecture aims to enhance students' financial literacy and risk prevention awareness. The Municipal Federation of Social Sciences invited the wealth management manager of ICBC to explain the definition, characteristics, harms and how to prevent illegal "campus loans", how to deal with illegal "campus loans", and common financial knowledge in an easy-to-understand language based on typical cases. More than 180 copies of various financial knowledge manuals were also distributed to students at the event.

"Through this lecture, I am fully aware of the hidden dangers and risks of online non-performing loans. As students, we should cherish our credit history and resolutely resist all kinds of illegal loans. In case of such infringement, we must learn to use legal weapons to protect legitimate rights and interests. The lecture attracted more than 60 students to listen to the lecture on the spot, and more than 4,100 students from Xinjiang Second Medical College participated online through online video conference.
The staff of the Municipal Federation of Social Sciences said that the special lectures on the prevention of illegal "campus loans" will be successively introduced to the Karamay Campus of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Karamay Vocational and Technical College to popularize financial knowledge to students and prevent illegal "campus loans".
