Key urban construction projects are the key starting point for improving the quality of urban functions, an important support for improving people's livelihood and well-being, and a "ballast stone" for promoting high-quality economic and social development. In 2024, a total of 100 key urban construction projects in the city will be arranged in five categories, with a total planned investment of about 167.2 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 41.4 billion yuan. Among them, a number of rail transit and urban renewal projects with high social concern have made great progress.
On March 17, the second phase of Xuzhou Metro Line 3 successfully completed the "hot slip" test of the whole line after a series of preparatory work such as limit detection, cold slip and catenary power transmission.
During the "hot slip" period of the subway tram, the power supply, signal, catenary, vehicle and track systems are running stably, the professional equipment is in good condition, and all the equipment data are displayed normally, marking that the section of the line has been fully equipped with the function of EMU, laying a solid foundation for the trial operation of the second phase of Metro Line 3 at the end of the year.
After the second phase of Metro Line 3 is put into operation, it will greatly strengthen the radiation and driving role of the old city of Xuzhou City in the Jinshanqiao area, which is of great significance to improve people's travel, promote the development of the Jinshanqiao area, expand the north-south space of the city, and create a "Xuzhou metropolitan area on the track". At present, the main structure of the station of the second phase of Metro Line 3, the section tunnel, the track laying of the main line, and the track laying of the depot have been completed, and the whole line has achieved "electric communication", the main body of the auxiliary structure has been completed by 89%, the decoration and decoration project has been completed by 60%, the mechanical and electrical engineering behind the station has been completed by 66%, and the road and greening restoration have been completed by 47%.
Accelerate the construction of the second phase of Metro Line 3, Line 4 and Line 6, promote the completion of major landmarks such as Deji Plaza, and start the construction of a number of primary and secondary schools such as the Kunlun Road Nine-Year Consistent School...... At present, this year's key urban construction projects have been fully launched, 100 projects, involving 49 land approval projects, 19 projects have been issued to land acquisition announcements, 15 projects have been issued land acquisition compensation and resettlement announcements, and 5 projects have been reported to the materials, and many projects will start construction this spring.
Urban renewal draws a new blueprint for development

Known as "Huaihai New Center", "Xuzhou New Landmark" and "Urban Vitality District", Daguozhuang Area, which is connected to the old city in the west and the new city in the east, is the geometric center of Xuzhou and an important functional plate of Xuzhou's urban development.
In February this year, the "Detailed Plan for the Daguozhuang Unit in Xuzhou City" (draft) was released and solicited from the public. According to the plan, the central vitality area of Daguozhuang will be built into a central vitality area with diversified vitality and landscape type integrating "new economy, new dreams, new living rooms, new buildings and new life". It mainly undertakes productive service functions such as headquarters economy, emerging finance, and trade services for the Huaihai Economic Zone, and improves regional service capabilities.
In the construction and development of the area, infrastructure takes precedence. This year, the Daguozhuang area plans to implement the "Five Roads and Two Rivers" project, of which the total length of the road project is about 12.5 kilometers, with a total investment of about 2.528 billion yuan. The total length of Jinshan River is 3.5 kilometers, the Xiaozhuang River and its affiliated rivers are about 4 kilometers, and the total investment of the "Two Rivers" project is 410 million yuan. At present, Yunlong District has submitted the development plan south of Jinshan East Road to the provincial government for approval. The Municipal Water Affairs Bureau has organized and completed the demonstration of the water system planning scheme in the Daguozhuang area, and further improved the design scheme of the two rivers of Jinshan River and Xiaozhuang River.
High-level planning, high-grade design, and high-quality promotion...... A well-crafted central vitality district of the city has taken shape. Looking at the land of Pengcheng, one after another new urban areas like the Daguozhuang area are interlocking, building a new look of the central city.

In order to continue the cultural context of hundreds of years, show the charm of Xuzhou's historical and cultural city and modern city, the city has made great efforts to build the Confucian Temple block, with a total construction area of 19,200 square meters, on the basis of the original Dacheng Gate and Dacheng Palace, the new drum tower and other ancient buildings and with boutique commercial blocks, set eating, drinking, playing, fun, swimming and other functions in one, known as Xuzhou's version of the "Confucius Temple".
Also opening the street in the Spring Festival is the Yundong Cultural District. With a total construction area of 90,000 square meters, the block integrates ancient buildings, garden landscapes, municipal, ecological governance and other business formats to create a cultural and commercial gathering place integrating Lotus Square, Yangxin Hotel and century-old food street, and connects the past and future of Pengcheng with natural scenery and ingenuity.
Yundong Cultural District is located at the first station at the southern end of Xuzhou's historical context, which is based on the mountains and waterfront, and goes north along the historical context, connecting the cultural landscapes such as Pengzu Garden, Yundong First Street, Hubu Mountain, Huilongwo, and Confucian Temple Block, forming a centralized display area for the continuation of Xuzhou's historical context and cultural connotation, so that tourism and commerce can be organically integrated, and the interconnection and resonance of culture, commerce and scenic spots have been realized.
Continue the thousand-year-old cultural context and highlight the style of Pengcheng.
