Find the essence of the problem and be painless and self-disciplined like a master

author:Zheng small money

What do you think self-discipline is?

Wake up at 6:00 a.m. every morning to study?

There are always endless classes, endless books, and endless things to do?

Squeezing out the time every day and not daring to stop?

Actually, no, true self-discipline is knowing what you want and what you don't want.

In order to achieve your goals, choose what to do in a targeted manner, live at your own pace, and grow.

Those who are truly masters of self-discipline are self-disciplined painlessly, and for them, self-discipline is a habit, not a deliberate insistence.

How can you be as painless and self-disciplined as a master?

Today I would like to share with you a rule of the Golden Circle that I have been using.

01

What is the Golden Circle Rule

Let's take a look at what is the Golden Circle Rule.

The Golden Circle Rule is a mindset that draws thoughts and questions into 3 circles.

Find the essence of the problem and be painless and self-disciplined like a master

The outermost circle is the What circle, which solves the problem of what to do.

The middle circle is the How circle, which solves the problem of how to do it.

The innermost circle is the Why circle, which solves the problem of what to do.

When faced with the same thing, different thinking sequences bring different results, and it is also a difference in thinking between people.

When ordinary people think, they think about what to do first and how to do it, but they don't think about why they do it.

In other words, the order in which ordinary people think is What-How-Why.

And when the master is thinking, on the contrary, he thinks about why he wants to do it, how to make a plan to complete it, and what to do specifically.

The order of thinking of the master is also the order of the use of the Golden Circle, that is, from the inside out", that is, to think in the order of Why-How-What.

For example, it's also learning how to be a storyteller.

Ordinary people's thinking:

What: What does a storyteller do?

How: How does a storyteller do it?

Why: But they don't think about why they want to be a storyteller.

In this way, it is easy to get caught up in the process of doing it, doing this and doing there every day.

I don't have a goal, I don't know how to measure my results, and I don't know what to do.

Master Thinking:

Why: Why should I be a storyteller?

I have clarified the meaning of doing this for myself and know the purpose of my study.

How: Make a study plan, what to do first, and what to do later.

For example, first listen to the lecture course, then learn the storytelling skills in practice, and then write a lecture script and give a live lecture.

What: What exactly is to be done.

For example, it takes 3 days to listen to the course, and a week to write the script, first choose the topic of the lecture, then choose the book, write the outline, write the text, and then revise the final draft, and then choose the way that suits you.

You see, isn't the process of master's thinking clearer and more orderly?

How can we cultivate this way of thinking? The answer is to learn to use the Golden Circle Rule.

02

How to use the Golden Circle rule well

1. Learn to ask questions and find the essence

First of all, before you start doing something, learn to ask yourself 3-5 questions to find the essence of what you want to do.

For example, many people have a plan to get up early, but they may not understand the matter of waking up early.

Then you might as well ask yourself these 3 questions:

Why should I get up early? for 1 hour of studying.

Why should I study? By reading books, I can accumulate knowledge and do a side job.

Why should I do a side hustle? Make more money and have more confidence.

Through these three thoughts, you will know what your purpose is when you wake up early, and you will be more determined and know what to do when you wake up early.

Instead of getting up early for a while to exercise, meditating for a while, brushing your mobile phone for a while, or even fishing for three days and drying nets for two days, you are not clear enough about getting up early.

You don't even know what to do, how can you get it done?

To be painless and self-disciplined, you also need to develop some micro-habits.

2. It is recommended to develop 6 micro-habits

(1) Write a daily plan

After waking up early every day, take 3-5 minutes to write down the plan for the day, and put the plan on paper, so that you can have a clearer goal and complete it one by one.

(2) Go to bed early and get up early

Put your phone away before going to bed, don't go to bed with your phone, otherwise it will be difficult to go to bed early as soon as you brush up your phone.

If you don't go to bed early, you won't be able to wake up early the next day, and you won't be able to use your time more efficiently.

Waking up 1 hour early gives you an extra hour of free time to do things more calmly.

(3) Insist on reading

The reason why you are anxious and confused is that you read too few books, and spend half an hour reading every day to open your cognition, your horizons, and relieve your anxiety and confusion.

With books as a companion, you can relax and sleep peacefully every day.

(4) Keep exercising

If you always feel tired and have no energy every day, it must be that you have less exercise, and there is too much pressure at work to release your stress.

And exercise can make you produce dopamine, which makes you relaxed and happy.

So no matter how busy you are, take 15-30 minutes a day to exercise, skipping rope, doing yoga, running, walking, and you won't feel bored.

(5) Academic Science

I don't know how to manage money, I spend as much as I earn, and no matter how high my income is, I don't feel secure.

You might as well develop the habit of saving first and then spending every month, and save 10% as soon as your monthly salary arrives, and the 10% less income will not have much impact on your life.

Through the accumulation of savings and financial management, no matter how little income you have, you can slowly accumulate your small treasury.

(6) Regular review

If you can't do a review every day, you can do it once a month, just like me.

Write at the end

What kind of thinking pattern and what kind of habits do you have, what kind of life will you have.

If you want to be like a master, then you might as well start thinking like a master and develop some micro-habits like a master from now on.

Believe me, from now on, you will be reborn from now and you will be reborn from now.
