Friend, have you ever heard of my sister-in-law writing a biography of my brother? No, my sister-in-law wrote a biography of my uncle. In August 2005, I returned to Xi'an to visit relatives and friends. One day, my sister-in-law* Xu Yongjin handed me an envelope. When I opened it, it turned out to be the "Little Biography of Brother Yonghe" written by her uncle Mr. Xu Yonghe. As a junior who grew up studying beside his uncle, it is naturally a blessing to receive his biography. So I read it all in one sitting.

Reading the biography, it is as if I saw my uncle in the winter of 1937, facing the invasion of the Japanese invaders and the worry of the country's ruin. bid farewell to his sick wife (aunt Xu Shanyue is critically ill), his parents and family, and resolutely put pen to paper. Embark on the train to the west of the Longhai Line. At this time, his impassioned poem immediately flashed in my mind: "The world should be in danger first, and the husband has the responsibility to protect the rivers and mountains." If they did not drive the Japanese to return to the three islands, they vowed not to survive the Yellow River. This is an eternal chapter written by him with his actions and beliefs, exuding the great national feelings of a revolutionary. expressed his confidence and determination. It was as if he saw the figure of the uncle when he finally arrived at Yan'an, the holy land of revolution, after all kinds of hardships. Hearing his joyful voice: "Mao'er Ditch is far away and the stone kiln is deep, full of revolutionaries in Shenzhou. Wash your face and knock on the ice cave in the ravine, squeeze your sleep and shout to turn over. "The spirit of revolutionary optimism of a hot-blooded youth is fully demonstrated. It's even more like seeing the uncle admitted to Kang University, transferred to "Lu Yi", and then set foot on the job. After several years of tempering and testing, he fulfilled his wish that he had unswervingly pursued for many years: to join the Communist Party of China. In his poem on October 6, 1948, he wrote: "The holy land of Yan'an bathes in the east wind, and the cradle of ten years is red. I like to join the party with honor and plant workers and peasants wholeheartedly. And when I saw that in May 1949, he was ordered to participate in the reception of the old Xi'an and stay to do the educational work he loved. I can't help but think that my uncle finally completed his life at the age of 45 after the victory of the revolution and the stability of his life. and Ms. Jang Tae-hye, who is also a teacher, tied the knot and held hands for life.

Uncle's thoughts and feelings of "revolution first, cause first". Awe-inspiring!

After 25 years, I read "Little Biography" again, and I have a new harvest. Not only does it understand the uncle's ordinary and great life in three dimensions. And I understand my sister-in-law's praise, awe and pertinent evaluation of my uncle. "He loves the party and is loyal to the people. He pursued revolution all his life. He is a small 'pawn' on the revolutionary chessboard, who is dispatched by the party without complaint; he is like a tireless old ox, tireless and hard work. He is upright and upright, and does not seek fame or fortune; he treats people sincerely, regardless of grievances and grievances, and does not want to reciprocate; he is modest and prudent, and he never tires of teaching. "The evaluation is plain and objective. It is unbiased and appropriate! It is pleasing and convincing, and it also makes me love and admire Uncle even more! I have changed my perspective when I read "Little Biography" this time. Focus on the lifelong career of education and teaching work. This time I revisited "Little Biography", and I was surprised to find that the ideal that the uncle was seeking up and down has always been the same and has never changed. He doesn't care where he goes: he studies or works. It doesn't matter how many units and departments have changed. He always cares about education and loves the campus. He never gave up the grand aspirations and ideals he made when he was young and faced with the poor and weak motherland: "education to save the country" and "science and technology to rejuvenate the country". Uncle has been walking on the tortuous and bumpy road of studying teacher and becoming a teacher for decades. Never hesitate, slack, and dare not pause. Uncle 7 to 11 years old, after four years of private schooling, he received formal basic education. Attend primary school (Chongzheng Primary School on Machang Street) and attend secondary school (Qingjiangpu Jingye Middle School in Huai'an). But when he graduated from junior high school, he didn't take the usual path of others going to high school and going to university, but found another way. He rebelled against the secular concept that "the family has three buckets of food, and he should not be the king of monkeys". First take the middle school teacher's exam, and then take the university (teacher's exam). In 1924, he was admitted to the Eighth Normal School of Jiangsu Province (now Haizhou Normal School). After graduating from the Normal School in 1927, he served as the principal of the No. 3 Primary School in Shuyang County. However, in order to realize his dream of "education to save the country", he studied by himself while working and constantly improved himself. Four years later, in 1932, he finally relied on his hard work and accumulated strength. In one fell swoop, he was admitted to a normal university, Shanghai Daxia University (the predecessor of today's East China Normal University). After graduating in July 1936, he entered Shuyang County Middle School as a teacher and served as the director of teaching. Thus began his career in secondary education. Until the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1937, Shuzhong was disbanded, and he devoted himself to the anti-Japanese war. I call this period of time the "period (or stage) of the youth."

Since the autumn of 1937, the uncle's life has turned a new page. He renounced religion and joined the army, from the campus to the barracks. It entered Kang University in September 1939. Later, in 1940, he transferred to "Lu Yi" to study art. In 1942, he was assigned to Mizhi Middle School in northern Shaanxi. In 1946, he was transferred to Zichang Middle School in northern Shaanxi. In April 1948, he drove out Hu Zongnan's gang, and after recovering Yan'an, he was transferred to work in the teaching and research department of Yan'an University Middle School. During this six years of working in two middle schools and one university, I call my uncle "middle-aged teaching period (or stage)".

The next time was the liberation of Xi'an (May 20, 1949). From the time the uncle was ordered to take over the work in Xi'an with the Military Management Committee to his retirement in 1980, it was a few decades. I call it the uncle's "prime-age teaching period (or stage)". As my sister-in-law said in "Little Biography": "For decades after coming to Xi'an in 1949, Brother Yonghe has been engaged in education and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the party and the country. He successively served as the teaching director of Xi'an Normal School, and did leadership work in Xi'an Jiaotong University High School, No. 39 Middle School, Xi'an Teacher Training School and other units. Throughout his decades of educational career, he has long been at the forefront of teaching in the field of teacher education and primary and secondary education. He not only has solid professional knowledge in teacher education, but also has rich experience in education and teaching. Therefore, Uncle is an educator, worthy of his name, and deservedly so.

Uncle is also a grassroots poet who has not published a collection of poems and has never been revealed. Since the war years, the uncle has been accustomed to using poetry to record life and express feelings. Life is the only source of his poetry. After I left Xi'an in 1958, my uncle and I exchanged letters. Each of his letters is accompanied by one or two poems. Even when you send me a book, you include a poem (see picture). Over time, the amount is considerable. So I had a whim: why not use his alias "Kong Wangshan Ren" as his name to copy a copy of "Kong Wangshan People's Poems"? In this way, the hand-copied poetry collection came into being. I have always treasured it.

This is the wrapping paper used by my uncle when he sent me the book 34 years ago (August 1990). It has the words "a poem in the package". It is very precious, so it is still in the collection today. The newspaper used for packaging was the Xi'an Daily of July 28, 1990. In order to write "Little Biography", my sister-in-law also quoted seven poems from my uncle. It is not difficult to see from this that he not only loves poetry but is also good at writing poetry, and his poetry is of a level and attainment. Due to space limitations, I will not repeat it here. Uncle is not just a well-deserved educator and poet. He is also a man with a wide range of interests. Piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, blowing, playing and singing, omnipotent, omnipotent, versatile "miscellaneous family". The ancients said: "I am born to be useful." It was the uncle's extraordinary quality and talent that provided unique conditions and laid a solid foundation for his later work.

The author took a group photo with his grandmother and uncle's family of four in January 1955. The first one on the right is the author. The two children on the left are cousins Yatong and Yazhi. I remember that when I went to Xi'an with my uncle in 1953 to study, Xi'an Normal School was in its infancy. Not only is the school building insufficient, the teaching equipment is poor, the "hardware" is not hard, and there is a shortage of teachers specializing in art and sports. As the dean's uncle, he was anxious. Regardless of the busyness of his own work, he bravely shoulders heavy burdens. She teaches art classes and works as a class teacher. Art classes are his major, and it is natural that he is good at drawing. But the uncle can also play a variety of musical instruments such as the lute, the violin, the flute and the harmonica. Cultivated by a multi-talented talent, the art class also lives up to its name. The artistic atmosphere is strong, and the cultural and recreational activities are active. Every National Day, New Year's Day and other large-scale entertainment parties, the art class is always the pillar. There are many programs, high quality and exciting. Teachers and students love it. The art class has become a golden signboard of the city's normal school. It is no exaggeration to say that the art class of that year was like the art department of the university. The head teacher is the head of the department. His homeroom teacher did an excellent job and won praise from all the teachers and students in the school, and his reputation was magnitude. It has a huge influence on the education and society in Xi'an. The students of the Municipal Normal Art Class of that year were very sought-after when they were assigned after graduation. Most of the music and physical beauty teachers in primary and secondary schools come from the city normal school. It is said that many of the cultural and education bureau directors of cities and counties (districts) graduated from city normal schools. Uncle once said: At a meeting held by the Municipal Normal Alumni Association (August 25, 1985), a student who was already the director of the Municipal Cultural Bureau specially invited the uncle. not only invited him to speak, but also presented him with big red flowers and took pictures. The uncle was very excited, and improvised a poem on the spot: "At the age of eighty, he wore saffron and planted pillars to build the country." Smile the same flower to offer Buddha, like to see the rookie Zhenhua. It fully expressed his excitement and excitement at this time.

If we want to talk about reading "Little Biography" and talking about our feelings, we must talk about the knowledge, role and influence of writing related to "Little Biography". I often hear that a monument is erected for someone. What does this mean? The original meaning is to engrave a person's deeds on a tablet, or write a biography to praise them. Nowadays, the meaning has been transformed into a person who has a significant impact because of his invention or creation in a certain field or aspect, his or her special contribution, or unique achievements. Write a biography of his deeds and celebrate them. Obviously, the sister-in-law is a "biography" of the eldest uncle, which does not belong to this kind of biography. It is different from the *"Liebiography" written in ancient times for the emperors and generals of the dynasties. Such as "The Biography of Boyi", "The Biography of Zhang Yi", "The Biography of the Marquis of Huaiyin" and so on. It is also different from the "biographies" and "biographies" written by great people and celebrities in modern times. Such as "The Biography of Mao Zedong", "The Biography of Zhou Enlai", "The Biography of Qian Xuesen" and so on. Personally, I understand that the reason why my sister-in-law is named "biography" instead of "biography". There are probably three factors: First, although the uncle is loyal to education, he has worked hard all his life and has made remarkable achievements. But his achievements and fame have not yet reached the level of a monument and public praise, and second, her biography of her brother, if the slightest bias in the evaluation of his merits is counterproductive. Even kitsch, beauty, and exaggeration are not known. The third is that when my sister-in-law wrote "Little Biography" for my uncle, she was already over the age of seventy and three. Even if there were plans to write a "biography" for him. And if you spend a lot of time and painstaking efforts because of this, you can't do it. Therefore, the "biography" is reduced to a "small note". What a smart move!

There is another circumstance that needs to be explained. The sister-in-law and uncle are not only siblings, but also teachers and students. Uncle has six brothers and sisters. The uncle is the eldest (born in 1905) and the aunt is the youngest (born in 1922). In the summer of 1936, Da Bo graduated from university and was 31 years old when he was hired to teach at Shuzhong. And the sister-in-law who is studying in Shuzhong is only 14 years old. The difference between the two is 17 years. Although she is young, she has deep memories of the events of that year. Besides, decades later, my sister-in-law is already a very mature revolutionary? Therefore, when my sister writes a "biography" for her eldest brother, her authenticity, her ability to distinguish between right and wrong, her grasp of the scale, and her credibility should be very high!

Moreover, the purpose of my sister-in-law in writing "Little Biography" is to educate the younger generation, learn and inherit her uncle's revolutionary thoughts, professionalism, and traditional virtues. It is not intended to be published. Therefore, even if there is a flaw, the impact is minimal. "Little Biography" I read it many times, and each time I learned something new. I think it is a learning model for the younger generations who are motivated, how to make progress, how to do things, how to practice, and how to be a person. The uncle's qualities and virtues, such as high morality, erudition, strict self-discipline, fairness, modesty and prudence, and tireless teaching, are the models and benchmarks for all of us to learn.

A group photo of 6 brothers and sisters of the father and uncle, and a "small biography" of less than 1,800 words, is known for being "small". It's short, but it's huge. Compared with the "biography" and "biography" of the grand production, it has many characteristics of its own. "A Little Biography" is like a typical narrative essay. The full text uses time as a red thread (in chronological order) to connect the life experience and life deeds of the uncle for 75 years and most of his life. And this kind of "connection" is not a stereotypical record of major events and running accounts, but a detailed and focused narrative. For example, "A Little Biography" focuses on the uncle's revolutionary activities and educational career in the 43 years from his devotion to the revolution in the winter of 1937 to his retirement in 1980. Before 1937, it was omitted. This is the first feature. The second feature of "Little Biography". It is not introduced in the third person from beginning to end, flat and straightforward. Instead, he always put himself in the specific context of the "biography", and introduced the life and deeds of the eldest brother concisely and concisely in the tone of the younger sister. As at the beginning. In the following writing, she will face the reader directly according to the needs of writing. Or introduce relevant information: For example, when he wrote that Uncle was working in Shuzhong in 1936, he not only introduced that he had done a lot of propaganda work for the anti-Japanese salvation activities. He also wrote that as a middle school student, he was directly influenced by his eldest brother's propaganda work. Or in the introduction of the uncle's retirement in 1980, he is 75 years old, and he still "reads, writes, plays the piano, and paints every day". While praising him for his positive, optimistic and fulfilling life in his later years, he also interjected and explained the relationship between his uncle and her brother and sister. told the truth that her uncle was the biggest and she was the smallest. Similar situations can be seen everywhere in the "biography". This is something that other "biographies" and "biographies" do not have. This feature not only increases the authenticity and credibility of the "biography". Moreover, this kind of "home-style" narration also adds a breath of life to "Little Biography", exuding a strong human touch. The third feature. The material is abundant, many but not mixed. Every time she talks about a problem, her sister-in-law can appropriately choose her uncle's poems as proof. Not only does it effectively shorten the length, but it also gives people a sense of ups and downs. In addition, the text mostly uses a combination of narrative, discussion, and lyrical penmanship, which is quite like lyrical prose. The writing style is flexible and varied, showing the writing skills. The fourth feature. The writing is old-fashioned, and the writing is handy. Precise choice of words and sentences. Some words come easily, use them for yourself, and are naturally appropriate. This is about a good habit that my sister-in-law has developed in her decades of work: she never bothers the secretary with the drafting of important documents and speeches, and she has practiced the basic skills of writing by herself. The writing is fluent and the language is clear but not obscure. Suitable for all ages, it is very readable.

Finally, let's talk about the specific gains I gained from reading "Little Biography". 1. Reading "Little Biography" knows how to be grateful, and I also learn to be grateful. "The grace of a drop of water should be reciprocated by a spring". "Drink water and don't forget the well diggers". Gratitude is the traditional thought and virtue of the Chinese nation. We should carry forward and pass it on. A person's growth requires help and favor from many aspects. Therefore, we should not only thank the organization for its nurturing grace, but also thank the teachers for their teaching, the parents for their nurturing grace, and the support of relatives and friends. For me, in addition to being grateful to my parents who gave me life and nurtured me. We should also be grateful for the help and support of our family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and classmates. And I should be especially grateful to three people: one is Uncle Xu Yonghe. He was the one who brought me to middle school, to college. In the end, under his example and guidance, he chose the glorious and sacred profession of "engineer of the human soul": teacher. Uncle is my guide. The second person is my sister-in-law Xu Yongjin, who sponsored me to read and write and complete my studies. It was she (and my uncle), who extended a helping hand and generously supported me in the dilemma of my family's financial constraints and inability to cultivate: in the six years from the first year of junior high school to the third year of high school, my sister-in-law remitted 20 yuan per month to my school on time like a salary (after I graduated from high school, my sister-in-law sponsored my second brother to study in college for 5 years). The third person is my life helper: my aunt Zhang Taihui. My uncle brought me to Xi'an to study, and my sister-in-law subsidized my living expenses. However, as soon as I left home, I was like a fledgling bird. Unable to stand on their own feet, take care of themselves, and do not live independently. It was my aunt Zhang Taihui who accepted me with her great maternal love, broad mind, generosity and kindness. She used the 50 yuan remitted by her sister-in-law to buy cotton clothes and toiletries for me. At the turn of spring and summer, when winter clothes change to spring clothes, my aunt would always change my cotton clothes, carefully dye them with black dye on the faded and whitened collar, cuffs, knees, buttocks, etc., and then dry them. The old is as good as new. During my five years in Xi'an, people who didn't know the inside story always thought that I wore new cotton clothes every year! and her own four children are treated equally. There is a good food, I have a share, there is a fun, there is a me. Every festive season or Sunday, I can go home for a vacation with my classmates in the city. As a child who studied in Xi'an thousands of miles away, I am still by my parents' side, and I also enjoy the warmth of mother's love and home. 2. After reading "Little Biography", I saw that in order to realize the grand aspiration of "education to save the country", the uncle only did one thing in his life: stick to his education post until he retired. I have received this enlightenment: a person should "have a long ambition" instead of "always aspiring." Because of "long-term ambition", only one goal, concentration, perseverance. Do a line, love a line, and be single-minded. Only in this way can we make achievements and make achievements. And those who are "always determined", "this mountain looks at that mountain high, and I don't know which mountain is high". Volunteering changes frequently. Inattentive in doing things; doing work, picking and picking, and thinking differently. I can't do big things, and I don't want to do small things. How can such a person be able to do business, achieve great things, develop and make progress? After reading "Little Biography", I saw that my sister-in-law quoted the passage of my uncle's family education: "In particular, his strict family education for his children has taught us greater lessons, even for our younger generations, it is worth emulating." "I feel the same way, I feel it deeply. Then the sister-in-law quoted the uncle's poem about family education: "The revolution is a good tradition, and strive to promote it from generation to generation." Diligently practiced, long-term self-fragrance. If you refuse to teach your family, you will be forced to fight in society. Every time you think about a peaceful situation, you should first conduct yourself. ”

After reading the poem, I couldn't help but think of the first time I went back to Xi'an to visit my parents in August 1990, 32 years later. Although my uncle looks old, he is still in good spirits and still talkative, and I am very happy. Their living conditions are very different from when I was a student in Xi'an. Stayed in a spacious and bright suite. When visiting, I accidentally saw a "family education poster" column on one wall in the living room. I can't help but feel intoxicated! It's a pity that I can't read it in detail. Today, it seems that although the family-run "tutoring poster" is very unusual, it is not a political product of following the trend, but a pioneering initiative of their family education. The content of the poster is a necessary supplement to the parents' conversation and education, and also shows the diversity of family education. It also shows that the uncle's tutor is meticulous and rigorous. In his article "In Memory of Dad", Brother Yao Zhidi said: "Dad was deeply influenced by the orthodox national culture, and respected courtesy and righteousness. Therefore, from an early age, we are taught to respect our elders, to be courteous, to be industrious and frugal, to be honest and hardworking, and so on. "The content of the uncle's tutoring is rich and colorful, and his good intentions are hard-working. This can be seen from this: In the memorial article of the Emperor, he also recalled the situation of the uncle in educating them in the light of his own revolutionary experience in the areas of ideology and politics, ideals and aspirations, moral sentiments, laws and regulations, etc. In short, the uncle's words and deeds have played an exemplary role in "parents are the first teachers of children". Because of this, their four children are all like their parents: upright and upright. Work steadfastly and be innocent. Whether they are teachers, journalists, or grassroots leaders, they are engaged in economic work. Do your duty and work your own. Be innocent and do things. None of them used their power for personal gain to climb up, reap benefits, and enrich themselves. None of them have been punished or punished for violating the law and committing crimes. From the four brothers, we see the shadow of the uncle's uprightness and justice. Brother Yao Zhi is the representative. Here's an example to share with you. That was one of the things that happened when he was a reporter in the "rural edition" of Shaanxi Daily. One day in June 1998, the newspaper received a letter asking for help from a laid-off worker at the Hancheng Coal Mine in Shaanxi Province, asking the newspaper to seek justice and correct the unjust case. The leader asked Ya Zhi to take over the case. From taking over the case to successfully closing the case, it only took him a few months. Why is it so fast? After taking over the task, Ya Zhi immediately began to work. Go deep into the coal mines, villages and towns and families where the parties are located. Through individual conversations, visits and evidence collection. He wrote the titles "Blood and Tears Behind the Torture Map" and "Specimens of Torture to Extort Confessions". It was published in two newspapers and periodicals, China Youth Daily (June 22, 1998) and Southern Weekly (July 3, 1998). It has had a strong repercussion in Shaanxi Province and the whole country. It also attracted the attention of Governor Chen Andong and listed it as a supervision case. In the end, this unjust case, which caused a sensation in the whole province, was finally corrected with the coordinated investigation and handling of multiple departments. Also the parties are innocent and fair. This incident fully demonstrated the good character of being upright and fair, courageously acting in the face of righteousness, sympathizing with and sympathizing with the people at the bottom of the society and the disadvantaged groups, and having the courage to stand up and assume a high sense of responsibility when encountering major and difficult things. It fully shows that he is a good journalist who asks for the lives of the people and faithfully defends and enforces the mouthpiece of the party. The reason why he is so outstanding. It fully shows that the family education of the uncle's parents is good, and their words and deeds teach and set an example well! At this point, I will touch the reality with emotion and gossip: A person is born to grow up. They must go through three kinds of education: after they are born, they will receive family education when they are a little older, they will receive school education when they grow up and go to school, and they will receive social education when they are literate, graduated, go to work, and enter society. These three types of education are compulsory lessons for all people's lives. All three are important and indispensable. But comparatively speaking, family education is more important and is the foundation. It is much easier for children with good family education to receive school education and social education. Why is the crime rate so high in today's society? Especially corruption cases. From top to bottom, there are many tigers and flies. Why do these people commit crimes? Why do so many of their wives and children follow suit? Corrupt officials bluntly say: They have not taken good care of their families and have not educated their children well. What does this mean? Don't confess to yourself: Isn't it just that you haven't done a good job in family education? The bloody lesson is thought-provoking!

*Biography: "The person who narrates the deeds of the ministers, so that they can be passed on to future generations." (Sima Zhen's "Index of Historical Records") "Its people can welcome the sequence, so the cloud is biography." (Zhang Shoujie, "< Historical Records> Justice") "biographies" are biographies of influential figures in the past dynasties, and a few biographies are foreign histories and ethnic minority histories. In short, the biography of the representative of all sides. It is a genre that records important figures in history.

Brother Yonghe's biography

Brother Yonghe, whose name is Xiaoyun, was born in 1905 in Yangqiao, Xixiang, Machang Town, Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province. Born into a well-known local family of traditional Chinese medicine. He studied in private school for many years at an early age, and then entered Chongzheng Primary School in Machang Street, and successively studied at Jingye Middle School in Qingjiangpu (now Huai'an City) and Jiangsu Province No. 8 Normal School (now Haizhou Normal School). After graduating from the Normal School in 1927, he served as the principal of the No. 3 Primary School in Shuyang County. He was studious and enterprising, unwilling to be mediocre, so he was admitted to Shanghai Daxia University in the summer of 1932. After graduating from university in 1936, he was recommended by relatives to be employed as the director of Shuyang Middle School. In the autumn of 1937, Japanese imperialism launched a war of aggression against China. The eldest brother was influenced by the early progressive ideas, and often lectured the students about the situation of the Japanese occupation of Dongshan Province, taught and sang revolutionary songs, and propagated the idea of resisting Japan and saving the country. At that time, I was a middle school student, and I was the most directly influenced person. In the winter of 1937, the Japanese army invaded Nanjing and other places. The students were forced to disband, and the teachers and students went home. At this time, Brother Yonghe, like the hot-blooded young people across the country, was surging and unstoppable in resisting Japan and saving the country. Ignoring the critical illness of his sister-in-law Xu Shanyue and not listening to the dissuasion of his family, he resolutely said goodbye to his parents and family on December 28 of this year, took a car alone, and went straight to Xi'an. In order to express his determination to resist Japan and save the country at this moment, he wrote the following impassioned verses:

"The world should be in danger first,

It is the duty of the puppet to protect the rivers and mountains.

did not drive the Japanese to return to the three islands,

Vowed not to survive the Yellow River. ”

He originally planned to go to Yan'an to study at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. However, after arriving in Xi'an, he was recommended to study in the wartime pacification youth training class. A month later, he was transferred to Shanxi National Revolutionary University, and in April 1938, he was sent by the school to the 116th Division of the 53rd Army in Henghe Town, Shanxi Province to do democracy movement work (the army belonged to the Northeast Army, but there was an underground organization of our party in the army). After the army moved to the Taihang Mountains, it was ordered to go to Henan and Huangpi counties in Hubei to defend Wuhan. At this time, they who belonged to the military students suddenly heard the news of the enrollment of Yan'an Kang University, and their long-buried wishes to study at Kang University one by one rose again.

After approval, he came to the office of the Eighth Route Army in Xi'an to apply for the examination. In September 1939, he finally got his wish and entered the fifth phase of the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, and was assigned to the fifth squadron of the four brigades, and was successively stationed in Beimaoergou, Wayaobao and other places in Panlong Town, northern Shaanxi. This arduous life and thought process of his life is fully reflected in one of his poems:

Mao'er ditch is far away from the stone kiln deep,

Full of revolutionaries in China.

Wash your face and knock on the ice cave in the ravine,

Squeezing sleep and calling the number to turn over.

In 1940, he transferred from Kang University to "Lu Yi" to study. In 1942, he was assigned to teach at Mizhi Middle School.

In 1946, he was transferred to Zichang Middle School. In April 1948, he drove out Hu Zongnan's gang and after recovering Yan'an, he was transferred to work in the Chinese Education Research Office of Yan'an University, and joined the Communist Party of China in September of that year, finally realizing a wish that he had been unswervingly and actively pursuing for many years. The poem of October 6, 1948 truly expresses his mood and determination at this moment.

Yan'an Holy Land Bathing East Wind,

Ten years of cradle Zhi Yuhong.

I like to join the party with honor,

Wholeheartedly plant workers and peasants.

Xi'an was liberated on May 20, 1949. Brother Yonghe participated in the takeover of Xi'an from Shanxi and began a new revolutionary life. After a few days of travel, when I stayed in Caotan Town on May 20 of this year, I left this poem to record my mood at this time:

Linfen refers to Xi'an,

Servants in the dust of June.

Passing by the three plains of the good news,

It has been three days since the liberation of Xi'an.

Since coming to Xi'an in 1949, Brother Yonghe has been engaged in education and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the party and the country. He successively served as the teaching director of Xi'an Normal School, and worked as a leader in Xi'an Jiaotong University High School, 39 Middle School and Xi'an Teacher Training School. In the meantime he wrote:

The work of the soul is boastful,

Self-suffering is still a teacher.

Classes are like a race against time,

The successor should be like a safflower.

His modesty and prudence can be seen in this. In 1970, he was resting for the sequelae of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 66, but he still asked for work, and after organizational research, he was assigned a job that was more suitable and needed. Although he did not have any professional title, he was conscientious, diligent in studying, and did not slack off, without the slightest dissatisfaction and complaints, on the contrary, he showed the open-mindedness and optimism of a true revolutionary. In his poem at this time, he wrote:

It seems that * up and down inconvenience,

I actually get a workout.

Particularly strengthens the heart muscle,

Experts sum up experience.

*The office is upstairs, so it is inconvenient to go up and down.

In 1980, he left his post to recuperate and spend his old age in peace. He was 75 years old. For more than 20 years after his retirement, he continued to read, write, play the piano, and paint every day. It shows the positive, optimistic, and fulfilling life of a revolutionary. To be a role model for me and my younger generations.

Brother Yonghe is the eldest brother. There are 6 brothers and sisters, he is the oldest and I am the youngest. Not only did I receive his teachings and support when I was young, but I still received his teachings, care and encouragement when I came to Xi'an in the later stages of the "Cultural Revolution". In the winter of 1990, he called me a female brother and gave me a poem to encourage me:

Yellow flowers shine golden,

静伴叙家常。

Fierce battle loyal to Kuangguo,

Mulan is even more vibrant.

In particular, his strict family education for his children has taught me more and greater lessons, even for our younger generations, which is worth emulating. For example, on June 13, 1976, he formulated the family system in the form of poetry, which is not only catchy, but also easy to remember and implement.

The good tradition of the revolution,

Strive for generational advancement.

diligent practice,

Fragrance for a long time.

If you refuse to be tutored,

It must be rammed by society.

Every time I think about the peaceful situation,

First of all, you should be self-conducted.

Brother Yonghe died on August 19, 1999 in Xi'an. calmly walked through his hard and bumpy 94-year-old life. Throughout Brother Yonghe's ordinary, revolutionary life, it has given us a lot of useful inspiration. His fate was bumpy and unfortunate. He loved the party and was loyal to the people. He pursued revolution all his life. He is a small "pawn" on the revolutionary chessboard, who is dispatched by the party without complaint; he is like a tireless old ox, tireless and hard working; he is upright, upright, and does not seek fame or fortune; he treats people sincerely, regardless of grievances, and does not want to reciprocate; he is modest and prudent, and he never tires of teaching.

Brother Yonghe's life merits and demerits, history has its own commentary. His experiences and experiences are a valuable spiritual wealth for me and his juniors, from which we can learn from.

After that, he has been engaged in political work in the Third Division of the New Fourth Army. She and her uncle Fu Donghua were the first batch of officials of the New China Embassy in Romania. Diplomat of the first generation of the republic. After returning home from a three-year term. My uncle worked at the Academy of Military Sciences. My aunt works in the All-China Women's Federation. * A collection of 5 poems by the uncle

Leave Yun Cheng's second brother

In the stormy era, I have been away from my hometown for a long time,

I am glad to see that the newcomers are full.

Flesh and blood are connected thousands of miles away,

The ends of the earth are homely.

Part 2

Beware of theft of flower pots,

Go out early and return late to carry busy.

Who knows Seon Jinnaf?

Mental constitution is gradually strengthened!

June 1983

*About a bag of "Lu Yi".

The poems of the yellow sandy soil

One.

"Lu Yi" is about to be fifty autumns,

Kuang Shi Rong Ma far bridge ditch.

The golden sand is like a rain of smallpox,

Zuo I fugue is better than the old tour.

Two.

Orthodox Church,

Qiaoergou "Lu Yi".

How cute is the sand?

There is something new in the old sand.

*In August 1990, I took my son Yu and my nephew Ke to Xi'an and Yan'an for sightseeing and visiting relatives and friends. After staying at the uncle's house for a few days, he went to Yan'an on August 12. Before leaving, my uncle told me to go to "Lu Yi" to watch, and talk to him about my thoughts when I returned to Xi'an. The 86-year-old uncle studied and worked in Yan'an for ten years 40 years ago. He is a "38" old cadre who eats Yan'an millet and drinks Yanhe water. Now that he is too old to come with us. I deeply understand the mood of the old man at that time. So he happily replied, "Yes!"

After returning to Xi'an, I not only reported in detail what I saw and felt, but also brought a bag of yellow sand excavated from the auditorium to my uncle when Lu Yi was rebuilt. He took over the yellow sandy soil, was very excited, and then wrote two poems.

At the age of 86, he sang on his own day

The national economy and people's livelihood have risen steadily,

Personal celebrations are jubilant.

Yan'an Holy Land looks back,

Rising from the party, the country is honored!

August 1990
