BYD Ocean Network's sedans currently have a small car Seagull/Dolphin, compact car Destroyer 05, mid-size car Seal EV/Seal DM-i and other models, and in order to subdivide the mid-size car market again, BYD will soon launch a new plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan - Seal 06.
As a model positioned between the Destroyer 05 and the Seal DM-i, it is reported that the price range of the Seal 06 is also in between. So given that the current price of the destroyer 05 starts at 101,800 and the price of the seal DM-i starts at 166,800, does it mean that the price of the seal 06 will be less than 140,000? From the perspective of exterior design, the appearance of the seal 06 is different from the shape of the seal DM-i, and its closed front end is matched with LED light clusters with corners on both sides, which looks quite thick. In terms of power, the Seal 06 will also use a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine + electric motor, of which the maximum engine power is 74 kilowatts, which is converted into horsepower of 101 horsepower, and its engine model is basically the same as the destroyer 05 and Seal DM-i models. In terms of battery, the Seal 06 is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries, providing 10.08kWh and 15.874kWh versions, and the corresponding WLTC pure electric range is 60km and 90km, which is also highly consistent with the Qin L.
In addition, the Seal 06 may also be equipped with BYD's new-generation DM-i super hybrid technology, which is expected to bring new breakthroughs in energy efficiency.
