After 4 days and 3 nights in Timor-Leste, tell the truth, real life is different from what you imagined

I have heard that Timor-Leste, an island nation, is full of mystery and charm. So, with curiosity about the unknown, I embarked on this journey across the ocean. However, when I set foot on this land firsthand, I realized that the real East Timor is far more colorful than I imagined, full of surprises and challenges.

On my first day, I arrived in the capital, Dili, a bustling and ancient city full of exoticism. I decided to explore the streets and alleys of the city and get a feel for the local culture. Walking through the streets, I was fascinated by the food of the roadside stalls, and tasted all kinds of local specialties, the spicy taste and aroma were intertwined, which greatly satisfied my taste buds. In the bustling market, I also met a local girl named Anna, who enthusiastically introduced me to the customs of Timor-Leste and gave me a deeper understanding of the country.

The next day, I embarked on a journey to Los His, one of the most famous tourist destinations in Timor-Leste. The scenery along the way is refreshing, with lush rainforests, crystal clear streams, and those distant mountains that make me feel like I'm in a natural wonderland. In Los His, I visited traditional villages and got a sense of Timor-Leste's rich cultural history. With the hospitality of the villagers, I also learned some traditional handicrafts, experienced pottery making and weaving skills, and gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of Timor-Leste's cultural traditions.

On the third day, I headed to the beaches of Timor-Leste, with its breathtaking coastline and turquoise waters. I enjoyed the sun, the waves and the sand, and despite the scorching heat, I felt as if I had melted into this beautiful ocean. At the small bar by the sea, I met a group of enthusiastic locals who spoke fluent English and shared stories and anecdotes about Timor-Leste, which made me feel the warmth and tolerance of the country.

On the fourth day, I decided to head to the interior of Timor-Leste to explore those remote and mysterious areas. Here, I saw Timor-Leste's most pristine nature, with its vast forests and crystal-clear lakes, as well as the tribal villages that live in the mountains, isolated from the rest of the world, guarding their unique culture and way of life. In the tribe, I met a young man named Karlo, who showed me their traditional songs and dances and customs, and I was deeply impressed by the charm and diversity of Timorese culture.

On my last day back in the capital, I couldn't help but feel emotional, and I learned a lot from this short but beautiful journey. I was fascinated by the beauty, food and beauty of Timor-Leste, but more importantly, I was able to experience the gap between real life and imagination through this trip. In Timor-Leste, there is a real and unpredictable sense of life in every corner, and that's the beauty of travel. I want to tell everyone not to limit themselves to their imagination, but to explore the world bravely and discover the beauty that no one knows. Because only by experiencing it first-hand can we truly understand the meaning and value of life.
