The police, who did not know for what purpose, threatened Mr. Ambo and Mr. Dobson that they would not help them return to the United States if they insisted on going to the hospital to collect evidence. After reviewing surveillance footage from the resort, police arrested a 54-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, without giving their names. Local reports said one of them was linked to a "powerful figure" in the Bahamas, who had a stake in the local economy.
