At present, there are at least 350 million two-wheeled electric bicycles in mainland China, and on average, one in four people owns an electric bicycle. Electric bicycles are convenient for people to travel as a means of daily transportation, but their fire hazards should not be underestimated. According to the statistics of the National Fire and Rescue Administration, a total of 21,000 electric bicycle fires will be reported nationwide in 2023, an increase of 17.4% compared with 2022.
