The Eiffel Tower is one of the world's most famous steel buildings, the tallest building in Paris, a symbol of the city and a tourist center. It stands at the north end of Place Mars on the south bank of the Seine in the heart of the city.

At the end of 1980, the second floor of the concrete platform was replaced by steel plates, and the total weight was reduced by 1,000 tons; the second floor of the luxury hotel was moved to the third floor, and a public beer hall was set up in place; the "Gustave Eiffel" reception hall was built for holding academic conferences, lectures and receptions; There is an audio-visual museum to introduce the history and architectural features of the tower through film and television.
After the renovation, the four elevators will automatically go up and down at the same time, so there is no need to ride in layers, and the third floor platform can enjoy a panoramic view of Paris. The first floor was reopened in September 1982 with a restaurant, shops, a theater and a showroom dedicated to the Eiffel.
When designing the tower, it was regarded as a beast by Maupassant, Verlaine, Prudom, Karna, Lille, Dumas, Gounod and other "gentlemen", believing that the construction of the tower was "disregarding the elegance of France" and "hurting French history and art".
After the completion of the project, the "gentlemen" were impressed by its unique beauty, and tourists flocked to it. In 1982, the tower "Xinying Company" decided to carry out a comprehensive renovation, reinforcement and painting of the tower on the basis of painting once every seven years. The tower now receives 5 million visitors a year.
