First, water conservancy should be repaired. As the saying goes, water conservancy is the lifeblood of agriculture!

In the first 30 years of reform and opening up, under the leadership of the people's government, the people of the mainland built countless reservoirs, dams, and canals, large and small. When I was a kid, there was a long canal that ran through things in our county. During the irrigation season, the waves are rolling. Although it is now abandoned, when you walk along the coast, you can still imagine the majesty of the past!

The mainland's first minister of water resources was the famous General Fu Zuoyi. The Hongqi Canal embodies the arduous entrepreneurial spirit of the Chinese people who are not afraid of difficulties and dangers and have the courage to transform the natural environment, and is a great project for human beings to use nature!

After the reform and opening up, the construction of water conservancy projects is mainly reflected in the mainland's management of major rivers, such as the Xiaolangdi project of the Yellow River, the Three Gorges Dam, the Gezhouba Dam, and the Baihetan Hydropower Station, most of which are world-class, and all of them have effectively realized the control of floods and ensured the stable development of agriculture in the river basin!

Second, the widespread application of chemical fertilizers. There is also a proverb here, a crop is a flower, and it all depends on fertilizer!

And China really began to use chemical fertilizers for agricultural production on a large scale in the 70s of the last century. In the early 70s of the last century, with the easing of Sino-US relations, Western countries established diplomatic relations with China one after another. Therefore, Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou took advantage of this opportunity to vigorously introduce foreign advanced production equipment, including 13 sets of large-scale fertilizer production equipment.

After their introduction, they were distributed in the main grain-producing areas of the mainland, and they began to be introduced from 1973 to 1974, and all of them were completed and mass-produced in 79 years. Each large-scale fertilizer production base has an average of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 500,000 tons of urea, with a total of 3.9 million tons of synthetic ammonia and 6.5 million tons of urea. This greatly improved the historical outlook of China's agriculture, and since then, chemical fertilizers have become an indispensable thing for China's agricultural production. In addition to these 13 sets of large-scale fertilizer production equipment, the mainland has also built countless small fertilizer factories, covering basically every county in the country, which ensures the needs of agriculture.

The reason why the grain output of the mainland has increased greatly is inseparable from the extensive use of chemical fertilizers, and the reason why the yield per mu and the total output have increased steadily and continue to create history, without the extensive use of chemical fertilizers, it is difficult to achieve!

Third, the cultivation of hybrid rice and wheat varieties should be promoted.

When it comes to increasing grain production, I have to mention one person, this person is Yuan Longping, who is the one who advocates the cultivation of hybrid rice, devotes himself to research for decades, completely changes the pattern of rice production in China and even the world, and makes outstanding contributions to the increase of human grain production.

In the 70 s of the last century, the yield per mu of rice on the mainland was only 400 kilograms, but by 2004, the yield per mu had reached 800 kilograms, that is to say, it had doubled.

In addition, the mainland has also made breakthroughs one after another in the cultivation of improved wheat varieties, providing strong technical support for the mainland's grain production.

Fourth, the production is delivered to the households, which liberates the surplus labor force in the rural areas!

For a long time after liberation, the mainland practiced collective production in the rural areas, which reduced the enthusiasm of the masses for production, resulting in low agricultural production efficiency and inefficient allocation of resources. After the reform and opening up, the policy of guaranteeing production to households in agriculture has greatly aroused the peasants' enthusiasm for production and released the surplus labor force in the rural areas.

All in all, in short, we are able to eat enough, definitely not because God has mercy on us, but because we are the result of continuous hard work. Today, we have already bid farewell to the days of lack of food and clothing in the past, but in the future, we will never lie on the merits, will not stop, but will continue to create history and go to a happy life!
