Two industrial cameras can be used to shoot the two edges of the steel plate at the same time from different angles, simulating human eyes, forming stereo vision, and fully digitizing the image signal. And the circuit system directly transmits the collected raw data to the industrial computer for calculation. There is only one signal acquisition circuit and some simple communication facilities in the width gauge and its installation site, which avoids the influence of high temperature, dust and electromagnetic interference on the computing circuit, and improves the adaptability of the width gauge to the field environment. At the same time, the reduction of the calculation circuit is also equivalent to the reduction of a faulty link, so that the operation stability of the whole set of equipment is greatly improved, no intermediate station, compact structure.

The parameter setting of the width gauge can be carried out on the debugging screen of the industrial computer, which is intuitive and convenient. Depending on the temperature of the object to be measured and other conditions, there are two options: background light source and no background light source (measured by infrared light emitted by the object itself). The use of no backlight greatly reduces the amount of maintenance.

The interface of the measurement software displays: product specifications, nominal width, positive and negative tolerances, etc., the maximum and minimum widths and their corresponding lengths, etc., and the width and size fluctuation curves are displayed during measurement. The data color of the measured value is green when the measurement data is within the set acceptable range, and red when the maximum width deviation of the measurement exceeds the set allowable range. The specific format is determined by both parties through negotiation, and the actual delivery status shall prevail.

The background light source adopts a high-brightness LED array, which has high luminous efficiency and long life.
