On February 2, in People's Square, a festive Chinese knot was installed in place. The foot of the main body is surrounded by elaborate flowers and classic traditional Chinese sheepskin lanterns and wicker rattan balls, the warm yellow light of the lanterns and the rattan balls reflected in them create a warm and harmonious festive atmosphere.
At 8 o'clock in the evening of February 1, the installation workers began an intense and orderly operation. The relevant person in charge of the People's Square Management Office told reporters that the main shape of the Spring Festival atmosphere installation originates from the Chinese knot with the symbolic meaning of traditional culture - Fangsheng knot, which symbolizes smooth sailing and safe entry and exit, and is a farewell to the past years and the transmission of beautiful expectations for the New Year.
The 6-meter-high Chinese knot is decorated with a solid steel body and stainless steel structure to ensure the safety and weatherability of the installation. The surface is carefully made by the plexiglass secondary blister process, which makes the whole look layered and modern at the same time.
The Chinese knot is surrounded by bright flowers and classic traditional Chinese sheepskin lanterns and wicker rattan balls, which contrast with the Chinese knot, and dress Huangpu in a delicate "colorful coat". The ingenious creativity, chic shape, and bright color tones also make citizens and tourists feel the strong atmosphere of welcoming the Spring Festival.
