Denza sales are good, BYD adds a new MPV model?
BYD, which has achieved a bumper harvest in January, is queuing up again to harvest a large number of new cars with larger sales! Recently, a group of spy photos of BYD's new model on the Internet have been exposed, positioned in medium and large MPVs, and this new car is expected to be unveiled in the second half of this year.
Judging from the spy photo information exposed on the Internet, BYD's MPV has a large body size, a long front end, and the front face design also has BYD's family design style.
On the side of the body, the overall shape of this new MPV is relatively square, with a straight waistline running through the front to the back, and it is also equipped with electric side sliding doors, and the word "Tang" is clearly printed on the wheels. Therefore, there is also speculation that this car is a derivative of the BYD Tang, or it will be named "Tang MAX". Of course, as a test car, it is also possible to temporarily use parts from other models for camouflage or backup, but this does not mean that the name will be used in the end. At the rear, the lines are relatively straight, the area of the tail window is large, the overall attitude of the body is very stable, and the tail light group adopts a vertical layout.
In terms of power, there are also speculations in the industry that the power system of the DENZA D9 will be shared, and two power versions will be available: hybrid and pure electric. At present, the hybrid version of the Denza D9 is equipped with BYD's self-developed 1.5T plug-in hybrid engine, and the two-wheel drive model has a NEDC pure electric range of up to 190km and a fuel consumption of only 5.9L/100km, while the four-wheel drive model has a pure electric range of 180km and a fuel consumption of 6.7L/100km.
The EV model is also available in 2WD and 4WD versions, with the 2WD model mated to a 230kW front motor with a CLTC electric range of 620km, and the 4WD model with dual motors with a total power of 275kW and a total torque of 470Nm, with a CLTC EV range of 600km. In terms of energy replenishment, the DENZA D9 also supports dual-gun fast charging, with a maximum charging power of 166kW and a range of 230km in 15 minutes.
Regarding the price, the price of this new car will definitely be cheaper than the Denza D9, or it will drop to about 300,000 yuan, which will put a lot of pressure on the Odyssey and Trumpchi E8 to compete with a number of domestic MPV new energy vehicles.
