——Shenzhen Longgang District Library Pinghu Central School Branch Library and "Hexuan Library" unveiling ceremony
On February 1, 2024, with the care and support of the Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau of Longgang District, Shenzhen, Longgang District Library and Pinghu Central School jointly built the "Pinghu Central School Branch of Longgang District Library".
Watching the fireworks in the world, it is good to read around the fireplace in winter. On the morning of November 29, Pinghu Central School held the unveiling ceremony of the Pinghu Central School Branch of Longgang District Library and the "Hexuan Library" in the lecture hall.
The guests who participated in the ceremony included Xiao Xinxia, deputy director of Longgang District Public Culture and Industry Promotion Center and director of Longgang Library, Chen Pengfei, executive deputy director of Longgang District Library, Pan Jinhui, director of Longgang Library Development Department, Chen Guanji, principal of Pinghu Street Education Office, Zhang Guojian, deputy secretary of Xinnan Community, Liu Zhihui, Liu Zhihui, Liu Pofa, Liu Zhuoying and other clan representatives, parent representatives, leaders of Pinghu Central School, and all teachers and students of the sixth grade.
Under the leadership of the school leaders, the guests visited the school buildings and facilities such as the campus book bar, school history room, and library to learn about the school's running situation.

The ceremony kicked off with the "Children's Recitation of Classics" poetry chorus performance by the Year 6 students of the Primary School. By reciting the Chinese classics, the national spirit flows in the blood, and the culture of the motherland is promoted, and cultural wisdom is the backbone of the personality. The students' passionate recitation attracted bursts of applause from the audience.
Liao Shuxin, vice principal of Pinghu Central School, introduced the development of the school and the construction of the library: from the start of construction in 2022 to the official opening in November 2023, it has received great attention and care and guidance from the leaders of the Longgang District Culture, Radio, Television, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and has received strong support from the Pinghu Sub-district Office, the Education Office and the Xinnan Community. The Pinghu Central School Branch of Longgang District Library is modern and practical, and is a modern library with complete facilities and functions.
Mr. Liu Zhihui, the representative of the Liu clan of "Hexuan Study", introduced the red history of "Hexuan Study": "Hexuan Study" is the earliest private school founded in Pinghu area, founded by Liu Xiaoyang, the ancestor of Liu, in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, and established Hongzhuling School (Pinghu Central Primary School) on the basis of "Hexuan Study" in 1937, which is the underground intelligence traffic station of the CCP in the flames of the Anti-Japanese War. Mr. Liu hopes that the students of Pinghu Central School will study hard, thrive and become the pillars of the motherland in today's modern and beautiful campus.
Chen Pengfei, executive deputy director of Longgang District Library, warmly congratulated the establishment of the Pinghu Central School Branch, and hoped that the two sides would work together to make full use of the rich collections and talent advantages of Longgang District Library, combine the development and innovation leading characteristics of Longgang District, and jointly create district-level public cultural services, which will become a bright new business card of Pinghu and contribute to the cause of national reading in Shenzhen.
Ding Xiaojian, principal of Pinghu Central School, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the leaders and staff who cared about and supported the construction of the library. Principal Ding pointed out that Pinghu Central School and "Hexuan Study" have the same cultural context, and the school will pursue the red mark, inherit the historical context, vigorously promote the construction of "scholarly campus", continuously enrich the resources of the library, carry out a variety of reading activities, provide a better reading environment for teachers and students and residents of Pinghu, and work together to build a high-quality school.
Xiao Xinxia, deputy director of Longgang District Public Culture and Industry Promotion Center and director of Longgang Library, introduced the combination of libraries and schools in Longgang District. She hopes that the library can benefit the surrounding residents, provide convenient reading space for community residents, teachers and students, and enhance the cultural connotation of the community; she hopes that the school will continue the historical context of "Hexuan Library", inherit the red spirit, and become a cultural business card of Longgang District.
The exciting unveiling ceremony of the library began, and the leaders and guests unveiled the plaque of Pinghu Central School and "Hexuan Library".
