(January 30, 2024) Decathlon announced the launch of its marathon professional sports brand KIPRUN 42HOUSE project in Iten, Kenya. The project provides KIPRUN athletes with a base for professional training and family living, including training programs, training grounds, equipment, and a house to live with their families. Through this program, athletes will be able to focus on their sport in a sustainable manner, improve their performance, and gain a sense of accomplishment in running during training and competitions.

Decathlon KIPRUN is committed to becoming the world's top five running brands, helping athletes with dreams to reach the top of the world's top races with professional skills and valuable experience. 42HOUSE is one of the brand's most important projects to achieve its ambitious goals. The project is located in Ito Town, Kenya, the "hometown of long-distance running", with a 500-square-meter main building and functional buildings. In November 2023, 14 KIPRUN athletes will be the first to settle in. The 42HOUSE can accommodate up to 22 athletes for a comprehensive guided training session. It is staffed by a professional services team consisting of a sports director, two coaches, and an operations director. There is also an education specialist, a chef and a medical staff who serve the collective life and team-building work of the athletes. KIPRUN hopes that 42HOUSE is a place where athletes chase their passions and their dreams begin.

In training, two-time Olympic medalist Paul CHELIMO, who joined the KIPRUN elite athlete team in 2023, will accompany and guide athletes to create new sports miracles at 42HOUSE.
