According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, starting on January 31, the cold air will exert force, the temperature in the central and eastern parts of the mainland will gradually fall from north to south, the north will be superimposed on the influence of rain and snow, the temperature will decline significantly, and around February 2, the cold air will advance to the south of the Yangtze River, when the maximum temperature in most parts of the north of the Huai River will be lower than 0 °C, and around 5 °C along the Yangtze River, the temperature will turn from high to significantly low.
From January 31 to February 4, a large-scale rain and snow weather process will be created in the central and eastern regions, with light to moderate snow or sleet in the eastern part of Northwest China, North China, Huanghuai, Jianghan and other places, heavy snow or blizzard in some areas, moderate to heavy rain in most parts south of the Yangtze River, and local heavy rain.
This round of rain and snow lasted for a long time, covered a wide range and had a strong intensity, especially the snowfall in most parts of the north, which had a great impact on the Spring Festival travel.
