The National Civilized City is the highest honor in the comprehensive evaluation of domestic cities, and it is also the most valuable city brand. Since 2005, when it won the first batch of national civilized urban areas, Tianjin Heping District has been awarded the national civilized urban area for five consecutive times.
Recently, a reporter from China Economic Times interviewed Zheng Weiming, head of the People's Government of Heping District, Tianjin, on issues such as high-quality development, coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the construction of new peace.

Anchor the development positioning of the economic region
China Economic Times: The year 2023 that has just passed is the first year for the full implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the first year for the transition of epidemic prevention and control in the mainland. As an economic region in Tianjin, how do you summarize the development of Heping District in 2023?
Cheng Weiming: First of all, I would like to give you a brief introduction to peace. Heping District is the core area of Tianjin's central urban area, as a national all-for-one tourism demonstration area, Heping District has 76% of the city's historical buildings and former residences of celebrities, and 42% of the district's area is historical and cultural blocks. So far, there are 436 buildings of various styles and 347 cultural relics protection units at all levels in the Wudao area, which is the most complete Western-style building complex in Tianjin and even the whole of China, and can be called the "International Architecture Expo". As a century-old commercial center in Tianjin and one of the first batch of cultural and tourism consumption pilot cities in China, Heping District has made every effort to build two landmark business districts, Jinjie and Wudao, and has become the first choice for foreign tourists to visit Tianjin. At present, there are more than 550 financial institutions of various types in the district, with more than 38% of domestic branches, more than 75% of foreign-funded branches, more than 35% of insurance branches, and more than 66% of corporate futures companies. 72 of the world's top 500 companies have invested in Heping District to set up 291 enterprises and institutions.

China Economic Times: This year marks the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, what are the considerations of the Heping Zone in promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei?
Zheng Weiming: In 2023, Heping District will carry out the "big investment" action in depth, introducing 402 Beijing-Hebei projects, with 7.012 billion yuan in funds, an increase of 66.71%. This year, we will take the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei as a new starting point, strive to promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and accelerate the realization of complementary and mutual promotion of industrial development, the docking and convection of resource elements, and the joint construction and sharing of public services.
